Federal judge blocks California law that would have banned carrying firearms in most public places

Associated Press News, by Christopher Weber

A federal judge on Wednesday blocked a California law that would have banned carrying firearms in most public places, ruling that it violates the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and deprives people of their ability to defend themselves and their loved ones.

The law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in September was set to take effect Jan. 1. It would have prohibited people from carrying concealed guns in 26 places including public parks and playgrounds, churches, banks and zoos. The ban would apply whether the person has a permit to carry a concealed weapon or not.

Forget shooters, how about pedos? Why can someone just walk into a school where we are supposed to be protecting children? What would stop someone from going in there and kidnapping your child? How about having some kind of security?

You know what I never see? Mass shooting at police station. Mass shooting at prison. Lots of bad guys at both of those places.

That’s because the bad guys don’t have the guns at a police station or prison you really didn’t think this through did you

Because they have security is the point I was making. You didn't read my post did you?

Lock down the schools. Nobody in and nobody out.

Well John go ahead and prove your point further by going to your  local police station or prison with a gun on you.

Didn’t think that one through did you?

As usual you have be to spoon fed concepts. And by the way the bad guys don’t  have  guns in a controlled building that’s filled with personal that are armed still make weapons to harm others.

You’re misinterpreting what I’m saying

I am actually for  having a lockdown setting whenever it comes to schools and protected by armed security

You just can’t do that with every aspect of life

Lock down the schools. Nobody in and nobody out.

That is not worked in the past because having one arm security guard for whatever isn’t enough to protect those kids

No I'm not talking about Barney Fife or Paul Blart mall cop at the front door. Lock it down like a prison. Nobody in and nobody out until the bell rings. People shoot up schools because they know nobody is armed and they are easy targets. Nobody is shooting up prisons because you can't get a gun in and then everyone in there is armed so you would be toast if you tried

Then why make the comment where OP didn’t think his point through? His point was because these places are known to be heavily armed it’s never a target for mass shootings and you went and said well because the bad guys don’t have guns and you got owned like you usual.

Because you cannot transfer that line of thinking to everyday life yes, I think it works for schools but that’s about it. The problem is bad guys have guns you’re able to protect your dirt comes to a school or a hospital does not work in open air

A couple of things on us

I’m not for arming teachers you didn’t state that I just thought that I would throw that out there

The other thing that Hass to be considered fire drills which negate the ability to completely lock it down like a prison

As we have seen in the past whenever the bad guy gets past your perimeter in a school setting, and your security on the outside looking in, that’s not a desirable setting either

If that is the entire bar then simply not allowing Dems to own guns would solve it quickly, since basically everyone that has gun down children indiscriminately was a liberal

What the ***** are you talking about?

This is not true on so many levels

Secure the perimeter. You can fence in the school and still practice fire drills. And while doing so for those 15 min have the police there as backup just in case. 1 entrance in and out which is fully secured with metal detector, bullet proof gates, and armed guards. Nobody enters without an appt and then they are escorted in and out. This is just nonsense at this point and would be ready to remedy if they really do care about the kids

My point is you cannot have one in and out entrance  in a fire. I was a fire marshal at my last job.
