It's got to be astronomical!! Remarkable. or absolute BS Oh wow, personal attack again. Weird, I've never done that to you. I took a position at the High School I work for after a friend passed away (who was doing this job) and they needed to fill the void. I started last year and enjoyed it so much, I signed another contract. As a mental health counselor, I am basically an independent contractor and have to pay for my own health insurance. Working at the school I get AMAZING health benefits. So I have the best of both worlds and I'm happy. BTW: A lot of people who work in education work two jobs. I do it because I want to, not because I have to.

Damn, can't wait to see this thing banned again For his 2016 book “Rampage Nation,” Klarevas collected data on every gun massacre — which he defines as six or more people shot and killed — for the 50 years before 2016. His aim was to see whether there was any change in the number of gun massacres while the 10-year federal ban on assault weapons was in place. He calls the results “staggering.” Compared with the 10-year period before the ban, the number of gun massacres during the ban period fell by 37 percent, and the number of people dying from gun massacres fell by 43 percent. But after the ban lapsed in 2004, the numbers shot up again — an astonishing 183 percent increase in massacres and a 239 percent increase in massacre deaths. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/02/15/its-time-to-bring-back-the-assault-weapons-ban-gun-violence-experts-say/ Orlando, Islamic terrorist also used a handgun. Va Tech, worst school shooting in American history, used two handguns (9mm and .22LR), you know this. We've gone over it a million times. And the 1994 "assault weapon ban" didn't do anything to change any effectiveness of the AR platform. Having a "birdcage" muzzle vs no muzzle changes NOTHING. Edited March 31, 2023 by ArdmoreRyno

Then you know the odds of not finding a student with a particular diagnosis that has a prevalence of 50% is the same as flipping a coin that number of times and it always coming up heads. So for 500 students, that would be 500 heads in a row. (higher if you make the reasonable assumption that those students seeking counselling would likely have a higher than 50% prevalence) I'm not interested in attacking you. I'm interested in attacking lies. Those same odds are the likelihood that you are being truthful here about students and your work with them As an aside and with your psychology hat on, how bout a hypothesis on this: why do so many MAGA's here lie about their jobs? But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The (eg MAGA's) have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past. It is not that they are afraid of being convinced. They fear only to appear ridiculous or to prejudice by their embarrassment their hope of winning over some third person to their side." Edited March 31, 2023 by redtail hawk
Andy1 Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Eventually, as the demographics change, as more horrendous slaughters occur, the politics will change. At some point in the future , Gen Z will vote in change if politicians don’t act. People in other developed and less developed nations think we are absolutely nuts tolerating this in our society. The problem with these guns is their killing power far outlives the lives of, or the desire of, their owner to possess them. They sit in homes for decades, waiting for some tragic event of human error to occur. Taxes on guns and ammo should be used for aggressive gun buy-back programs to get unneeded guns out of society. A lot of other changes can be done too regarding safe storage, background checks, etc too. 3

It wasn't too long ago that people were probably saying the same things about millennials but the older you get the more conservative you typically get because you are working hard and you don't want to take 1 step forward and 2 steps back by paying the way of idiots that don't work or people that take advantage of the system and you want the world to be more like the way it was when you were a kid so that your kids can have the same good life 1

Just as todays Trump brand is different from the Bush brand.I could see a version of conservatism that is somewhat more restrictive on guns. Ideologies of both parties evolve over time. 1
