Probably even more so. With all the defunding of the police , bail reform , Marxist riots, tyrannical politicians taking power and restricting rights....More of us need to own guns to protect ourselves than ever before

No, there is way less crime than there was back then.

And what is a marxist riot? The assault on the capital?

Crime is through the roof in liberal cities across America. Research the numbers yourself. Huge increases across the board in NY etc due to bail reform. Shootings up in Buffalo. The Police have their hands tied. Do you know what Marxism is ? Or which current media darling movement is openly Marxist ? As usual, you’re woefully misinformed.

No, crime is down in cities and up in the rural areas. Opioid epidemic is a rural thing mostly.

Edit

In the United States, for example, violent crime rates have fallen by over 50% in many major U.S. cities since these rates peaked in the early 1990s, often referred to as the "Great Crime Decline".[16][17] In New York City, these rates had dropped by 75% from the early 1990s to 2010.[18] In the United States, a second decline in the crime rate was also observed, with homiciderates declining first from 1994 to 2002, and then again from 2007 to 2011.[19] The crime rate in Los Angeles decreased from 1993 onward, including e.g. a decrease in the crime rate of 10% during the first six months of 1998.[20]

Check the current crime stats from first quarter 2020 and currently compared to pre bail reform. Wikipedia ? Massive generalization Lol ... I’m not making it up, even the liberal media reports that shootings are up. What do opioids have to do with this ? The liberal mayor of DC stated that carjackings are on the rise in her city. Did you miss the two teens of color that murdered an Uber eats driver while attempting to carjack last week ? Probably not covered on CNN lol Are the Police lying with their crime stats ? You can check these numbers from actual legitimate sources though.  not the media. Crime stats are actual kept by cities. Even in Buffalo shootings are up ... 20 murders already in quarter 1. Was on WIVB website only yesterday, of course framed around “ gun control” lol even though the Police stated that the murderers are using illegal handguns.

Too difficult to quantify. Let’s say a criminal is shot while in a standoff with cops. He’s wanted for murder , now he’s taken off the streets. How many were saved ? Who knows ? Regardless, it’s a pointless exercise. As a US citizen you have a right to bear arms. Only a small percentage of shootings / murders in the US involve rifles. Mostly handguns, and mostly illegally obtained ones at that. The gun control ideas are a solution searching for a problem. The larger issue would bust a lot of currently popular narratives, so it’s not addressed.

The cops could stand to do with fewer guns, I'll tell you that. That young man in Minnesota would still be alive if the officer wasn't so armed to the hilt to the point that she didn't know which weapon she was pulling out.

Armed to the hilt with a service weapon and a taser ? If someone can’t handle that , they shouldn’t be a cop. The young man in Minnesota would still be alive if he hadn’t resisted arrest. He rolled the dice and it came up snake eyes. She’ll pay the price for her error, but fewer guns ? We’ve already lost over 100 cops in the line of duty this year, but the lamestream media won’t tell anyone that. Imagine if citizens got so outraged about the actual everyday crime in their community.

Bodycam footage has been released on the police shooting last night in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Three police officers, one black man, one white man and one woman, stopped a vehicle being driven by 20-year-old Daunte Wright. Wright was wanted on an arrest warrant.

Initially Wright got out of his car, but then apparently changed his mind, fought with police officers, climbed back into his car and drove away. As the officers were struggling with Wright, the police woman attempted to tase him. Evidently she accidentally pulled out her gun rather than her taser and shot Wright with it.

It doesn’t appear that there was any racial angle in last night’s fatal encounter at all.

Definitely more guns.... where was the good guy with a gun?

And Republicans have made it so victims of corporate wrong doing cannot be sued in court. Unreal. No wonder they feel free to flood America with killing tools
