SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 https://www.yahoo.com/news/horrific-dozens-neighbors-sign-letter-174531911.html ‘Horrific’: Dozens of Neighbors Sign Letter Calling Out St. Louis Gun Couple Residents of an adjoining gated neighborhood say the couple doesn’t represent the area. The nearly three-dozen signers live on Westmoreland Place. That street and the adjoining Portland Place, where the McCloskeys live, make up a historic gated district in St. Louis’s Central West End. “From many walks of life, people choose to make this neighborhood home for many reasons, including the sincerity, empathy, and neighborliness exhibited by the vast majority of those who live here,” the open letter reads. Nevertheless, Noonan said, trespassing is not necessarily grounds to draw a gun. “We don’t condone trespassing,” he said, noting that the neighborhood bylaws had specific language about unauthorized entries. “But if that happens in the form of civil disobedience, it cannot ever be met by threat of violence.”

That’s how and why the mob runs free. They are not confronted. 3

That story has since come under some dispute, after the release of a video that showed the gate intact when the McCloskeys first drew guns on the protesters. The gate was photographed damaged later on Sunday. Photoshopped Sunday ? ? ?

If not care to take a gander why those who do have chosen to and pay a lot for that? Edited July 3, 2020 by Chef Jim 2
B-Man Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 WALL STREET JOURNAL: The Gun Sales of June: When citizens conclude cops won’t protect them, they buy firearms. Patricia and Mark McCloskey are the couple made instantly famous—or infamous—after a video showed them wielding firearms as they fended off protesters who had trespassed on private property outside their St. Louis home. The Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, Kimberly Gardner, reacted by issuing a statement saying she planned an investigation, and that her office will not tolerate any effort to chill peaceful protest by the “threat of deadly force.” Never mind that Mr. McCloskey says he and his wife feared they’d be killed. As they told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “the only thing that kept those mobsters, that crowd, away from us is that we were standing there with guns.” If soaring gun sales are a guide, millions of Americans are with the McCloskeys. This week the FBI announced a record 3.9 million background checks for June, the highest monthly total since the FBI began keeping the statistic in 1998. Adjusting to reflect checks only for gun purchases, the National Shooting Sports Foundation says this works out to 2.2 million, a 136% increase over June 2019. NSSF spokesman Mark Oliva says about 40% of these checks are for first-time gun buyers. This is a warning to the Defund the Police movement about unintended consequences. The more progressives push policies that mean cops won’t be around when people need them, the more they are inviting Americans to exercise their Second Amendment rights to protect themselves. The police aren’t there to protect the public from criminals, they’re there to protect criminals from the public. 2 2

Tiberius Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Another police shooting. I mean the cops are afraid because the country is awash in guns. The cops are scared. Guns are fueling all this unrest As four Phoenix police officers surrounded a sedan parked in the driveway of a one-story house on Saturday, at least two of the officers had their guns drawn and pointed at the car. “Hey, stop f------ moving. I will f------ shoot you,” one officer standing near the driver’s window yelled at the car’s lone occupant. Bystanders watching the tense scene unfold from across the street repeatedly shouted, “Don’t shoot him!” Seconds later, a cracking sound could be heard, followed by a sharp exclamation. There was a brief silence. Then, deafening bangs — roughly 10 — rang out in quick succession. Bystander video of the fatal shooting went viral over the weekend, prompting protesters to march for hours through the streets of Phoenix on Sunday night, outraged by another deadly incident amid nationwide demonstrations against police brutality. The protesters called for the release of the officers’ body-cam footage, with at least one city council member also publicly criticizing the Phoenix Police Department’s handling of the incident, the Arizona Republic reported.
