Thanks for posting this again, CBF.

As I've said before, I am one of the odd Bills fans. Born, raised and living in California my whole life and I'm a Bills fan.

Over the years I have met many Bills fans, and whenever there is a road game that I go to, it is just a great feeling to see all the Bills fans that travel and come together as family and friends.

That's why also love TBD. I am here every day, always posting and reading, and I've made some great connections with a lot of the people here and I am very thankful for that.

People can say all they want about Packers, Steelers & Chiefs fans, and how great those fans travel. Well let me tell you, no fan travels as better as a Bills fan.

I do hope that some of you will make it out to the Oakland game this year, even if it is 4 days before Christmas. We'll have another grand tailgate. And hey, for all we know that could be the game where the Bills end the playoff drought. So, where else would you rather be on that day? :devil:B-)

No, thank you, thank you for bringing to the forefront of what it's like to be and what there is to love being a Bills' fan. What I enjoyed about your post the most, other than just witnessing your pure love, passion and adulation for our favorite team, is that it was completely a positive experience being a Bills' fan. Too often we clamor towards the negatives of being a fan. I will say that it mostly comes from our worries and fears from not succeeding, which has been going on way too long. CBF, I can honestly say that you are one of the great additions to this fraternity that we all find ourselves in. I can't ever remember reading anything negative, derogatory or abusive in your posts and responses. For this I thank you and greatly appreciate it, you are a great example to immulate and your participation is not only welcomed but more so it's valued. Thanks again for reminding me why I have been such a loyal fan of this organization, it has given me an identity that is not only unique but also personal.

I, like you, live afar. You see I live in SW Florida for the past 20+ years. I actually live in Fort Myers, home of Sammy Watkins! How cool is that?!! Matter of fact the city of Fort Myers gave Sammy the key to the city last Friday night. The Mayor Randy Henderson happens to be a friend of mine, our sons are good friends and went through Little League and high school baseball together. I really wanted to go but as of now I got bronchitis and thought better of it. I bring this all up because I was thinking of all you. I had a perfect opportunity and it slipped through my hands. My point is this, it had greater value to me because I couldn't wait to share it with all of you. I know what it would have meant to so many of you, hearing an experience with our exciting new super star but I failed you. I feel worse about it because I let my fraternity brothers and sisters down, not so much about missing the experience personally.

I better cut this short, I'm doing this all by an IPhone and it's torture. I could go on and on but I probably already been long winded enough. Thanks again CBF for refreshing who I am. I look forward to an exciting and hopefully a very successful season this year but truth be told that no matter what happens I'll still be thinking about my Bills everyday, waiting for that long awaited moment when that Lombardi Trophy gets hoisted up there in Western New York!

Go Bills!

We live in Ft. Myers for 6 months each year. We love your city.

Thanks for sharing CBF. Seeing what happens in other parts of the world reminds me that Canada and the US are lucky to be on such friendly terms. It's nice that we all can cross the border relatively easily to share in the best of each country and it's citizens.

Well said brother!

I grew up in Buffalo. I am a Bills fan because of my Dad and Mom. Although I live in Miami, it course through my veins. Nothing will change that part of me.

By the way, if I recall correctly, don't you also have a Dutch connection (as I do)? My wife is Dutch. Hence, the Dutch team is my "second" national team.

Awesome post. You're one of my favorite posters on this board. You live up to the stereotype that Canadians are the nicest people on earth.

But if your country does take the Bills, myself and 4 of my friends are declaring war on your country. :)

Thanks man!

And remember what I said before, I will be right there beside you

You really should send this letter in to the folks up in Toronto trying to steal our team. Or at least try to get it published in the opinion section of a news paper up there. Let people know there are good people, Bills fans, in Canada, that don't want the team to leave.

I have been going to Bills games for the past 28 years and there has never been a time that I remember where I was made fun of for being Canadian. In fact, I sometimes get thanks for my countries strong beer lol

We must have been slacking

  • Nice mullet, eh?
  • Canadian Tuxedo - Levi Denim Jacket and Jeans.
  • The Canadian Navy - A guy in a canoe
  • What is your favourite flavour and collour? Please excuse my humour.
  • Ceasar is a salad dressing, not a cocktail
  • Canada: America's Bachelor Party - Cuban Cigars, Casinos and the Ballet
  • America's Hat
  • Alan Thicke
  • Don Cherry's Colour
  • Rob Johnson was better than Doug Fluite
  • Piles of discarded clothes at the Galaria
  • Tipping less than 15%
  • Not moving out of the passing lane on the Thruway
  • French Canadians
  • The plural of leaf is leaves, not leafs
  • If universal healthcare is so great, why are the parking lots of hospitals in Buffalo full of Ontario plates?
  • Round Bacon
  • Milk in a bag

All ball busting aside, nice post.
