BuffaloBill Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Amazing they beat out the Yankees. Hope the NFL is paying attention.
CountryCletus Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 It's probably because Trump was researching his next investment... Bc clearly google is the best resource when it comes to potentially dumping over $1B into something! (Could be all that moderator juice, too!) HAHAHAHAHAHA
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Yeah. But people who have loyalty to NYC teams are split. Two in all sports, and three in hockey if you include the Devils. Buffalo, and "Upstate" New York, are more or less united. It's like when a third party candidate splits votes. Edited July 15, 2014 by The Real Buffalo Joe
boyst Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) Non Mobile Link For those who cannot see it: The yellow in the NE states are the Bruins. The little tiny blue dot state, maybe Delaware, where as, such as South Africa... is Patriots Massachusetts and the state next to New York that is either Vermont or the other one is Red Sox. Hawaii is Miami Heat. Edited July 15, 2014 by jboyst62
SF Bills Fan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I just can't see the Bills beating the Yankees out.

Mr. WEO Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I just can't see the Bills beating the Yankees out. That nullifies the article's claim for sure. Also, this was based on internet searches, no? How does that correlate with "most popular sports team"?

White Linen Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) That nullifies the article's claim for sure. Also, this was based on internet searches, no? How does that correlate with "most popular sports team"? On my phone I can't see what information was used but don't you think there's at least some correlation between Internet searches and being popular? Isn't that essentially the information used today? Such as if you're website gets a certain number of searches you command more advertising dollars. Edited July 15, 2014 by Triple Threat
Stads Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 The Raiders are the most popular in California? Methinks this study is a little off.

ExWNYer Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I find it hard to believe that the Pirates are more popular in PA than the Stillers.
CountryCletus Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 Between the Pirates and the Bills- that's proof enough, people pull for underdogs... Lol
SF Bills Fan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 In terms if true fanbase, I'd rank NY teams like this: Yankees Giants Jets Mets Bills Rangers Knicks Sabres Islanders I left Devils out but the Jets and Giants are in the equation. I think the Knicks and Rangers would easily switch places based on who is doing better that year. I may be wrong on the Bills below the Mets. Their fan base may be more concentrated on Long Island, in which case the Bils may have larger base.
Mark Vader Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I can't believe that the Pittsburgh Pirates are the most popular team in Pennsylvania.
SF Bills Fan Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) I'd put Pirates below all teams except 76ers at this point Edited July 15, 2014 by SF Bills Fan
Mark Vader Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 The Raiders are the most popular in California? Methinks this study is a little off. Don't be so sure. The Raiders are popular nationwide, and a lot of fans just like their color scheme because it makes them look tough.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 http://m.buffalobill...159960011141477 I can see being more popular than the Jets or Giants, but the Yankees??? What did you expect, football rules, baseball is dying and will be surpassed by soccer someday.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Read this on the Bills app this AM. So much for the media person that claimed the Bills needed to relocate and or rebrand its name. the Bruins are more popular than the Putz in Mass LOL The Nats more popular than the Skins? WOW. TV ratings for the Nats dropped 30% since last season.
