Nanker
I don't watch either much anymore. Bill is fairly even-handed as he at least has both sides of an issue fairly represented in his discussions. He has far more lefties talking on his show than any other network has righties. It's not even close. Hannity has a whiney voice that's becoming more shrill by the day. The analogy with Matthews is apt as he's morphing into that kind of side show freak. . B-Man
The Tranquility Of Obama's Mind by Newt Gingrich When White House press secretary Josh Earnest said this week that President Barack Obama had "substantially improved the tranquility of the global community," many observers reacted with disbelief. When the President refused to go to the U.S.-Mexico border last week to see the crisis of young people flooding into the United States because "he's not interested in photo ops," lesser mortals noted he had played pool with Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, dropped by a brewery to have a beer and shook hands with a man wearing a horse-head mask. When he went to Delaware on Thursday and opened with a few sentences about the shooting down of a Malaysian airliner in Ukraine before joking about Joe Biden and going back to his prepared text on infrastructure, many thought he had failed to take seriously an international disaster. They were even less impressed when he had lunch at the Charcoal Pit and ordered burgers and fries (not a photo op, of course). It was not until 24 hours later that he took to the podium to promise an aggressive investigation. With the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria causing the collapse of Iraq and continued violence in Syria, the Syrian dictatorship consolidating its power, the Iranians failing to take steps to end their nuclear weapons program and Hamas firing more than 1,000 rockets at Israel, the President and his team have moved decisively to brief The New York Times on his passion for late-night intellectual dinners exploring physics, architecture and questions far more profound than the fate of the Middle East. It is as though the more dangerous the world becomes the more Obama hides in a fantasy world of avoiding the responsibilities of the presidency. (Excerpt) Read more at cnn.com ... . reddogblitz
Obama, Translated :Whenever the president talks about himself, flip it so he’s saying the opposite. By Jonah Goldberg I think I’ve stumbled onto a handy heuristic — or, if that word makes you want to smash my guitar on the Delta House wall, rule of thumb — for listening to Obama. Whenever he talks about himself, immediately flip it around so he’s saying the opposite. Think about it. “I’m not interested in photo-ops.” Boom. Translation: “I think photo-ops are really, really important. And that’s why I’m not going to have my picture taken with a bunch kids at the border.” This sounds like a lot of work. It would be much more fun to take drink every time he says I.

Photo ops of President Selfie enjoying an ice cream cone in the company of the press: https://twitter.com/TheDemocrats/status/601820580678082561/photo/1 Marvelous. It's not even of the president enjoying an ice cream cone. It's of the president enjoying an ice cream cone AND the attention of the press corps. On the other hand, I can't even imagine trying to eat an ice cream cone with people shoving thirty cameras in my face. You couldn't pay me enough for that. Obama, Yesterday: ‘Our War in Afghanistan Came to an End’ If you’re confused, President Obama declared “the end of the combat mission in Afghanistan” on December 28, 2014. The opposition did not get that memo. April 10: A 22-year-old member of the US Army from Whitinsville was killed in Afghanistan when an Afghan soldier attacked his American allies earlier this week. John M. Dawson, an Army specialist, died in Jalalabad from wounds suffered when he was hit by small arms fire while on an escort mission, the Defense Department said in a statement. The gunman was an Afghan National Army soldier who “turned traitor” on his American allies, said Army Sergeant Paul Reis, who was assigned as a liaison to the Dawson family after Dawson’s death. He said other soldiers were wounded in the attack. Meanwhile, in Helmand, Afghanistan, this weekend: Taliban gunmen surrounded a police compound in the volatile southern province of Helmand after killing 19 police officers and seven soldiers in an ongoing siege, a senior police officer said Monday from inside the compound. 3rdnlng
Obama on Twitter today: "One of my core principles is that I will never engage in politics in which I'm trying to divide the people." All of Twitter is doing a virtual double take. A person could get a pretty good idea of what Obama is all about just simply by attributing to him the opposite of what he says. Doesn't this reflect his actual actions more truthfully? "One of my core principles is that I will always engage in politics in which I'm trying to divide the people." Here is a list of just a few of his lies: http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/12/18/pinocchio-obamas-top-20-presidential-lies-89096 Let’s take a stroll down Obama’s liar lane and see what we find: – “We will close the detention camp in Guantanamo Bay.” Still open. – “If we have not gotten our troops out [of Iraq] by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do.” Didn’t happen. – “Today I’m pledging to cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term in office.” Instead, the national debt increased $5 trillion on his watch. – “As soon as we’re out of this recession, we’ve got to get serious about starting to live within our means.” Huh? – “We agree on reforms that will reduce the costs of health care. Families will save on their premiums.” – “We’ve got shovel-ready projects all across the country.” Later, Obama admitted his own lie, saying, “There’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects.” – “We reject the use of national security … to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime.” – We “will ensure that federal contracts over $25,000 are competitively bid.” – We “will eliminate all income taxation of seniors making less than $50,000 per year.” – “We are going to work with you to lower your [health care] premiums by $2,500,” and we’ll “do it by the end of my first term as president.” – “I don’t take a dime of their [lobbyists’] money, and when I am president, they won’t find a job in my White House.” In fact, Obama granted waivers at will, and more than a dozen lobbyists got jobs in the Obama administration. – “I pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.” But Obama has ignored the constitutional amendment granting powers not enumerated in the Constitution to the states. – “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” – “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed.” The truth is that the White House proposed an “automatic sequester” on July 12, 2011. – “I didn’t set a red line [in Syria].” And yet, at a prior news conference, using unscripted language in a statement, he said, “a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around.” – “It’s here that companies like Solyndra are leading the way to Read more: http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/12/18/pinocchio-obamas-top-20-presidential-lies-89096#ixzz3bqdiDUlL
