BuffaloBill Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Speaking of airliners scaring the s*** out of you: Article Passengers probably had no idea. I was on a flight from LA to Tokyo that had to pull up at landing supposed because of another plane on the runway. It was supposedly clearing the opposite end in a take off but had not cleared.
Chef Jim Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I had two go arounds landing at Buff/Niagara. One for geese in the runway the other for a plane on the runway. I think it was two trips in a row. No biggie.
Wacka Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Had two flights where they had to go around. One was into Raleigh/Durham. The pilot said the plane ahead of us had;t cleared the runway in time. On the go-around I timed it from that point and it was 9 minutes before landing. The oyjer time was a flight from Dulles to SFO. It was a late Friday flight that was to spend the night at SFO. There were only about 30 of us on a 747. As we were over the San Mateo Bridge on the final approach (a minute or two from landing) the plane suddenly puled up and started the large circle over the SF bay. The pilot said something about a light on the panel and then we circled and landed.
Rob's House Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Speaking of Tom, does anyone know if he's ok? I haven't seen him around for a while now.
Jim in Anchorage Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Speaking of Tom, does anyone know if he's ok? I haven't seen him around for a while now. Now that you mention it, Helen Crump hasn't corrected my spelling or composition in some time. I find it refreshing to be honest. Like summer vacation.
