DC Tom Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 How would he make a boat with a plane? You've never heard of a flying boat, or a seaplane?
4merper4mer Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) You've never heard of a flying boat, or a seaplane? Howard Hughes wanted to make one of those and it basically drove him crazy. It can be done. Stick to one or the other or you'll end up with two foot fingernails. Edited July 7, 2014 by 4merper4mer

Just promise me that you will inspect your own fingernails once a week and if they get over 4 inches beyond your fingertip you will call off this silly venture.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Spruce Goose...haha. A plane made out of wood? That's like a submarine made out of cotton. Is it true that Hughes walked around with Kleenex boxes on his feet?

Mark Vader Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Reports are the shark had Skittles and iced tea. So the swimmer was standing his ground?

Ancient to modern times, boats were made of wood and have survived many 100's to 1000's of years, and the first planes were all made out of wood and canvas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oldest_ships
