<In my best Maxell Smart voice>. Listen, I hope I wasn't out of line with my stoner remark back there.

But I assume he's using the pot for relief from the symptoms. It's kind of like making fun of someone on antidepressants.

As the decades pass, if I'm alone or in a crowd I no longer get paranoid. 1972 to 2014 - 42 years for me albeit at a mush less rate than I did as a teenager.

Never fired from a job because of it, never in a car accident because of it, never in a brawl because of it.

I never shot anyone with a hand gun, either. But we should ban those, of course...

No worries at all, no harm done. I laugh at myself more than anyone else, so it's all good.

This is true. And sometimes I am. Though I'm trying not to be the embodiment of it.

You're a towel.

No, you're a towel.

See this is what is happening to this once great country. We're being overrun by a bunch of passive stoners. :censored:

No way. People with important jobs like security will keep America running.

Low level employees like Greg don't have a say.

It seems a touch hypocritical of you to be throwing around the 'stoner' term when you, apparently every day, are ingesting mind altering anti-depressants. Doctor recommended, like medical cannabis, but somehow so different in your mind, eh?

Let me tell you, it ain't really different at all, stoner.

I'm sorry. Who here is calling people who truly use marijuana for medical purposes stoners?

I feel bad for you dude but I sometimes can't let a mistake slide. I believe it is called Krone's disease. Maybe autocorrect got you. Anyway, as you know diseases are often named after famous athletes, actors and politicians. Lou Gehrig's disease for example. Unlike Gehrig, famous jockey Julie Krone did not invent the disease named for her. Krone's messes with the digestive system as you mentioned and that will cause pained expressions on one's face. if you ever saw Julie Krone, that pained expression was a permanent look on her face. I'm not sure if she had the disease itself but the visual is helpful in describing the disease. It may not be fair to Julie but is it less fair than "Irritable Powell Syndrome" just because the guy is named Colin?

I had no idea! But it looks like you might be correct!

That show is "underrated" because it is on a channel nobody has or wants, filled with crappy actors and about smoking pot. Pot smoking shows do not get ratings for three reasons:

1. Non-pot smokers don't watch because they already get annoyed enough in real life

2. Many pot smokers have enough guilt about their bad and illegal habit that they don't want to remind themselves so they don't watch. I'm talking to you Red.

3. Even among the remaining fractional demographic, those pot heads who watch either don't remember when Nielsen calls because their short term memory is toast, they lie to Nielsen due to paranoia of exposing themselves as stoners, or their 68 year old parents with whom they still live answer and say they were watching Wheel of Fortune at that time.

I'm behind in this thread as I've been running around all day, but I would be willing to bet that Sammy would LOVE Party Down. Don't fear, the scene I linked was one of the few marijuana gags in the show (there's one more involving a coffin which is even better).

Thanks much for discussing. Sorry to hear that you have this affliction and am glad the marijuana helps. As I mentioned, the legalizations should help push the research, hopefully it also helps prescibing physicians step up and discuss their experiences with patients also.

Thanks (and to everyone who wished well). I don't talk about it much because I've learned to live with it even with the limitations I now have in some areas. As I said, I never smoked in high school or college (and even now I prefer to vape rather then smoke) and avoided weed mainly due to athletics and the fact my older siblings all smoked and I never dug the lifestyle.

It wasn't until I moved to California and got in a bad way health wise that my doctor recommended marijuana for the pain and appetite (at the time, I had dropped almost 100 pounds in less than three months due to the disease, I hadn't weighed that little since I was a freshman in high school). He wouldn't prescribe it himself as he was a legit specialist and it's easy to get a medical card in LA (especially if you have a real condition) so he pushed me in that direction.

Since then I've been able to get off all prescribed pain meds (and I'm much healthier overall though not due to the weed, just healing over time) and the weed helps counteract the side effects of the meds I'm on to keep the disease in check (symptoms include headaches, joint pain, nausea etc.). I definitely wouldn't have even considered weed had I not moved to California for work, especially since in NYS it's still illegal. However, it's helped improve the quality of my life tremendously.

...While turning me into a loser stoner. :D

I had no idea he had it... Thanks for that info.

He didn't say he had it, he just said you should ask him about it.

For all you know, it's going to send him on another rant about Jews and blacks.

I don't know if you watch Curb, but the reunion storyline where Richards goes off on JB Smoove is hilarious.
