TC in St. Louis Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I keep flashing back to Warner, just a few years ago, league MVP, unbelievable stats, great field vision, arm strength.....he thinks he's got a lot left. He is motivated, Drew has been motivated, but never really got r done. Any thoughts on such a nonsensical concept?
IDBillzFan Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Warner might be a good option, but only if he leaves his wife behind. Never trust a woman who cuts her hair with a Flowbee.
nodnarb Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 i don't want ANOTHER QB who has hit a wall. he can't help us.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Are we trying to get a QB with some pocket presence???
SouthTownBills51 Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Decent NFL quarterback, turned journeyman..no thanks
Alaska Darin Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Another dome QB who's taken too many hits. No thanks.

That would be assuming no one else is interested in his services....are you factoring in the cost of getting rid of Bledsoe, on top of the cost to sign Warner? Is Warner that much bettter than Bledsoe at this point in his carreer? Do you really think Warner has that great a "field vision", or did he benefit heavily from having a great offensive line, and maybe the fastest trio of WR's in recent NFL history? Isn't Warner leaving the NY Giants because he doesn't want to sit behind Eli Manning? Do you think he would rather sit behind JP Losman? Does Warner still seem like a good option?
Tux of Borg Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 We were all saying the same thing about Drew before he came here. Don't get me wrong, Kurt managed to land a few "W" with a Gilbride led offense. He deserves some sort of award for that.

Ultimately, he never won anything, but a lot of QB's have "managed to land a few "W" with a Gilbride led offense". His offenses tend to be very pass happy. His QB's usually like playing for him. It is that he just doesn't seem to know when enough is enough. The Oilers run and shoot (Warren Moon, Lorenzo Neal, Ernest Givens, etc) was an exciting offense, and the Oilers were great to watch. They made the playoffs every year. In the end though, they were always done in by the fact that they could not control the clock when they needed to hold on to win...
Albany,n.y. Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 There's no friggin gap! If we're going to cut Drew we need a veteran backup in case JP has to come out or miss a game or 2. If JP is not ready, Drew will not be cut, if JP's ready he will, it's that simple. Judging from what Moulds said JP is ready. I'm sick of hearing that a second year QB has to experience growing pains until he plays a # of real games. The recent success stories of 2nd year QBs who didn't or barely played their rookie seasons should have put that myth to bed. Brady won the Super Bowl his 2nd year with no experience his rookie year. Successful sophomore seasons in recent years include Culpepper, Vick, Leftwich, Brooks, and even though he had other league experience, Warner.
Ramius Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 1000 X NO , Just say no Marco Polno 217606 E-I-E-I-NO!!!!!!!!
39bills8 Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Not a good idea, Drew is done. Lets go with JP from the start and sign some cheap backup.

Arkady Renko Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Are you insane? Really, this is a really bad idea. 217642 Is Jim Ballard still looking for work?
Arkady Renko Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Seriously though, did Travis Brown sign anywhere? I am doubtful he's a replacement for Drew, just curious. Was before this season that we tried to sign Kordella? It seems so stupid, maybe I dreamed it. Will Mularkey's love for Maddox cause a move to get him?
TC in St. Louis Posted January 25, 2005 Author Posted January 25, 2005 i happen to agree with most of you. but, still the guy won 2 league mvp's, and he was 5-3 with the giants, and they blow.
kasper13 Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Somebody please tell Brenda Warner to stop posting on here looking for a job for her husband. He is a grocery bagger. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Is this a promotion for NFL follies? Jeebuzz
