ExiledInIllinois
Nobody has the guts to mention Third Eye Blind? Loved Santa Monica when it was new. (Still kinda do) No mentions of Weezer yet either. So much good stuff, never got to it yet. Offspring also in that class...
ExiledInIllinois
Then there was the Wisconsin (Waukesha) via Chicago scene, BoDeans... Anything from the mid 1980s up is really the 90's sound. Few from the 1990's:
bbb
Really liked this - probably too pop for most. This guy died already a few years ago:

BuffaloBillsForever
This thread is pretty much the daily playlist of the Lithium channel on Siriusxm minus the hiphop/rap. Spin Doctors - Two Princes, Little Miss Can't Be Wrong
The Big Cat
Really liked this - probably too pop for most. This guy died already a few years ago: Honestly, I would lump this song in with LEN, Steal my Sunshine as two great 90's pop guilty pleasures. Can't believe the dude died though. Damn, So much good stuff, never got to it yet. Offspring also in that class... How could we forget the Offspring!? The Toadies - Possum Kingdom Just recently put this track into a playlist. So 90's. So sweet. Blink 182 Flaming Lips - Don't Use Jelly Green Jelly - Three Little PIgs (Buffalo Boys!) Jane's Addiction - Ain't No Right Lisa Loeb - Stay (I Miss You) Yeah, that's right, I said it and I'm comfortable with it. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Someday I Suppose Some more great additions. I think Oasis has only gotten one mention in this thread. This is quickly becoming an exercise in the depth and variety of 90's bands and great tunes. I've been meaning to post this, put couldn't access it from my work computer. I think a lot of the songs have been mentioned: This thread is pretty much the daily playlist of the Lithium channel on Siriusxm minus the hiphop/rap. Spin Doctors - Two Princes, Little Miss Can't Be Wrong Right up there with Semi-Charmed Life as a song pegged as a 90's establishing shot trope! Speaking of which, go back and watch So I Married an Axe Murderer. SO many 90's songs. The movie just oozes 90's. Just thought of another one: The Eels--Novacaine for the Soul

Third Eye Blinds self-titled album was the 90's. The studio recording/engineering/production/ exceeded a million dollars to produce that album. There were even a few songs done at the skywalker ranch. Has anyone mentioned Counting Crows yet? The Big Cat
A Buffalo Bills message board makes it this far before the first mention of the Goo Goo Dolls? Telling. Seriously, I am NOT a fan. But Ben Folds Five belongs in the mix. I'll nominate Brick. Also every other song on Mellon Collie.

Rob's House
No mention of Cracker yet. Maybe it's like the Redskins thing and no one was willing to put it out there.
