Roster depth - building a champion

Pat Kirwan (CBS Sports) believes he has identified 13 area where roster depth is key in building a successful NFL team:

Buffalo Rumblings broke down the Bills roster in these areas.... we know they have more depth than in previous years but do they have it in the most important places?

I think TE and G could be an issue if the starters go down, depending on how many they keep.

Excellent articles Yolo. As I posted in another string, I'm concerned right now with the TE position. Lots of guys on our roster appear to be injury prone there and they could be left very thin, very early. There's certainly more depth than in the past, but just how much more is the question.

A good special teamer that can also play a "real" position? Who is that?

Regarding TE - I think they may keep Lee Smith because he is the best blocker out of the TEs and they want to run the ball so much. Unfortunately, he adds nothing to the passing game if Chandler should get hurt so I don't see him as quality depth at that position. I think Gragg is nice prospect but not sure if he is starting caliber. Moeaki is a nice player but I can't bring myself to count him as I feel like any day now he is destined for the IR. If Chandler stays healthy I think he complements the WR corp nicely - not an overwhelming option but can cause issues for the defense if they are focused on all the other guys. He just doesn't pose a threat in the red zone.

But but but I have heard of him!!!!!!. Kidding aside, wasn't he with Zona when Trenative got his bell rung. He was doing pretty good that year til said hit!

Yeah I think he had been there his whole career if I am not mistaken... and then he got cut and signed with NE in 2013 but never played a down.

What ! I thought my man Lee caught like 6 passes last year ?

Didn't he score a touchdown . Breakout year i thought.

I do like Lee Smith as a tenacious football player for the Bills

edit

also Gragg ?

Moeaki is going to split reps with Chandler evenly by the middle of the season. I am going to miss Frank if we keep 4 RBs.

I do like Franks game. you cant keep 4 rbs and 4 TE with six WRs can you ?
