bbb Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I wonder if it's a good or bad sign that Golisano went with Bailey Bros. Building & Loan
jahnyc Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Sure, all serious bidders will have financial advisors, but if I was making a bid for a professional sports team, I would want one of the top investment banks in this area, which would include Goldman.

Pegula hired THE guy is sports sales. "He's certainly hired one of the best-known sports investors there is in the country," Walker said by phone on Wednesday. "That would go a long way toward possible success in Mr. Pegula's ability to buy the Buffalo Bills." http://www.wgrz.com/story/sports/nfl/future-of-the-bills/2014/07/02/sabres-owners-looking-at-buying-bills-make-hire/12107839/ Edited July 18, 2014 by TheTruthHurts
Mark Vader Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I wonder if it's a good or bad sign that Golisano went with Bailey Bros. Building & Loan Now I know what your initials stand for.
BUFFALOKIE Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Bon Jovi's daughter is a Junkie, time to play dirty. http://www.cbsnews.c...eroin-overdose/ Dude. Don't go there. Bad deal. I hope she recovers on every level.
jimmy10 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I wonder if it's a good or bad sign that Golisano went with Bailey Bros. Building & Loan Probably better than Congel's retention of Dewey, Cheatham & Livingston.
bbb Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Probably better than Congel's retention of Dewey, Cheatham & Livingston. I thought it was Dewey, Cheatham & Howe?
Pondslider Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Bon Jovi's daughter is a Junkie, time to play dirty. http://www.cbsnews.c...eroin-overdose/ But Jerry Jones said there's nobody he respects more as a father than Bon Jovi.
TheFunPolice Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 There is nothing Jerry Jones respects more than money
thebandit27 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 There is nothing Jerry Jones respects more than money Jerry might be a stereotypical tycoon in image, but he's actually a really good guy by all accounts. I know a few folks that have spent time with him away from football and they all said he's wonderful to be around...and my friends really aren't the type he'd have anything to gain financially by schmoozing.
Tyrod's Tailor Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Dude. Don't go there. Bad deal. I hope she recovers on every level. Such a vile thing to say, even for a message board Edited July 19, 2014 by billsfaninmanhattan
CodeMonkey Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) I don't know how this is going to play out any more than the rest of you. But man JBJ is sure getting a lot of press about this. Edited July 19, 2014 by CodeMonkey
ET1062 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Next steps in the sale process per John Kryk http://blogs.canoe.ca/krykslants/nfl/source-provides-more-specifics-on-whats-next-in-the-buffalo-bills-sale-process/
YoloinOhio Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 @KevinMassare: Hearing from a valuable source that the team is taking a cautious approach when it comes to Bon Jovi group. Others expected front runners. @JohnKryk: And this: Toronto bid group now vowing to keep #Bills in Buffalo, per sources. "Toronto Bills" idea all but dead: http://t.co/v7tNUyooBi
chucksvilledoug Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 For the fans sake and city of Buffalo for all it has endured, the "selection team of 4" can not allow JBJ group to win the bid. He never wanted to keep the team in Buffalo so any trust that he would for the extended future would be a serious leap of faith, one that should outright eliminate him in the bidding process. Go with one of the Buffalo guys..whomever that would be. Buffalo is easily one of the BEST sports towns in the country!
The Wiz Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Next steps in the sale process per John Kryk http://blogs.canoe.ca/krykslants/nfl/source-provides-more-specifics-on-whats-next-in-the-buffalo-bills-sale-process/ Based on that info, you would have to think pegula knew what he was doing hiring a "seller" instead of a "buyer". The guy is gonna know the books since he has been involved in major league sports deals before and can tell pegula what he's getting in a minute.

I think the Bills are his to lose.
Augie Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Dude. Don't go there. Bad deal. I hope she recovers on every level. Thank you. Completely agree.
