Damn you, now I can't get this out of my head! I am stronger! Is 1980 is still the 70's? Technically. Arc of the Diver wasn't too bad: To think he was only 14 when he joined the Spencer Davis Group. Gimme Some Lovin' and I'm a Man @ 18. Then there is Traffic, The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys is one of my favs... How many teens can claim that on their resume? Sure he does get poppy, but he got older. Album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2upB-idG_Xk

That was my only point with the sappy 80's period. certainly I wouldn't complain about any of his early work. he was 16 on Gimme some lovin, did Traffic in several great incarnations, and Blind Faith, although short lived was great. His current show is heavy on hits and his lead guitar on Dear Mr. fantasy is extremely good. he recently said somewhere he didn't understand all the interest all of a sudden in America in his music again. I do he rocks.
