Woods is going to have a breakout season this year and show that we got two 2nd round steals in last year's draft.

He and EJ already demonstrated excellent chemistry last season. I really expect him to be EJ's best and most reliable receiver this season.

He really should change his user name. I suggest 'Wire Service'.

 Thanks Man.

This is why it's so vital that Manuel plays an entire season.

We are all excited about Sammy Watkins, but this is just as big a season for Robert Woods as well.

I also have to say, good job 26CB.

Thanks Mark. Thanks to Yolo for all of his input too.

I think it's because he runs really good routes and has great hands. My favorite Woods catch all year was the two point conversion he caught against Carolina. It was a quick slant and the throw was designed to be low and away so he'd have to dive to catch it. Super tough catch that he made look easy.

Outstanding catch with body control (and clutch throw)!

To add to the Woods love, the guy is only going to get better. I'm not a huge USC fan, but they're everywhere here in LA and he was always a professional even in college in terms of how he approached his work. This guy's ceiling is very, very high.

He's one of those guys who won't necessarily "wow" you with measurables or jaw-dropping plays like Watkins but he is very polished in his technique in the WR role at a young age. This was an great read pre-draft last year:

I absolutely loved this pick last year. He is exactly the kind of guy who EJ can trust in the slot.

I look at Woods as a guy that will be really good for a really long time. I don't think that his ceiling is incredibly high but his floor is. I could see the guy having 5-7 1,000 yard seasons. He is going to be consistent for a long time. Woods is really polished. He is kind of a glue guy. You know exactly what you have in him and can expect that each week. Woods kind of reminds me of those Spurs guys (like Diaw). Every game they will help you but rarely dominate.

Me too. I was very glad to see him slide to Buffalo. People forget, mainly because of how spectacular Marqise Lee's freshman season was, how good Woods was against Stanford (and overall) as a frosh. His bum ankle cost him his last year in terms of numbers, but even on a bum wheel and no QB to get him the ball he still put up numbers.

That's a great point about his floor, on that we can most certainly agree.

I just think he's going to end up being a probowler, more than once, when his career is done. Love the Boris reference! Long live Boris!

he is kind of like the James Lofton vis a vis Andre Reed (who will presumably be Watkins). Unless Mike Williams usurps that role.

Hopkins kicks well

He’s seen by most outside the building at One Bills Drive as a potential kickoff specialist for Buffalo with Dan Carpenter signing a sizable free agent deal with the Bills this offseason. But Dustin Hopkins is working to make the place kicking job a stiff competition as well. On the last day of minicamp Hopkins may have provided a sign of things to come.
