Corp000085 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 sadly, I thought he already past so him looking old is a good thing. Common man.
Mr_Blizzard Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Van is closer to 87. I can't believe it's been over 10 years since he retired. Loved his play by play. "Fasten your seatbelts" ! ! !
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 If the ownership question hasn't been settled by then, and they play those songs, there will be a chorus of boos. It's a Bills game, so there is already a chorus of boos, as well as booze. sadly, I thought he already past so him looking old is a good thing. He indeed has past. Fortunately, he has not passed.
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I tried looking it up online but couldn't find it anywhere, does anyone know of anywhere to find his HOF speech?
Kirby Jackson Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I tried looking it up online but couldn't find it anywhere, does anyone know of anywhere to find his HOF speech? I don't know where it is but I remember the one line. It was something to the tune of, "I was a great football player back at Dunkirk High School. In my time there I sent 7 people to the hospital -all to the maternity ward."
seq004 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Wow he is. I always loved listening to Van. He always had a way of making the game exciting even duds.

I live 4-5 hours from Buffalo, so never got to listen to a game called by Van Miller, the only exposure I have to him is when he's rarely on The John Murphy show. I wish they had the smart phone apps and that stuff back in the 90s, when I became a fan.
