I had to stop watching all the Star Trek spinoffs. It started with DS9 (pretty good) then Voyager (meh) then Enterprise (never watched.) Would it kill them to make an original new series?

That's what would intrigue me about Netflix if it wound up happening. The article paints it as rumor but it makes sense to me and it's certainly still a valuable property, one Netflix would have to at least consider. The creative freedom available at Netflix could lend itself to the best Star Trek yet if they were willing to be bold with it. I'd support a completely original show within the universe itself, there's certainly room for it.

Unless you mean a completely new series all together and not Star Trek related at all. In which case, I'm with you on principle.
