The Wiz Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 (edited) Equilibrium Kung fu with guns. Can't go wrong. Edited June 15, 2014 by The Wiz
Cugalabanza Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Still haven't seen anyone best my suggestion of Frailty. See it if you haven't That's a really good one, but mine's pretty good too, Box of Moonlight.
mrags Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Equilibrium Kung fu with guns. Can't go wrong. equilibrium is just freaking cool. It came out at the wrong time when other movies like the Matrix were lighting up box offices. It deserves more credit.

The Wiz Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 The Warriors I actually own the DVD. Saw it when I was younger and was hooked. Very underrated and has one of the best ad-lib lines. Warriors.... Come out to play!
Deranged Rhino Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 A couple movies people should check out if they haven't, there's a theme today: Defending Your Life The Muse The Scout (definitely the weakest of the three but has its moments)

gomper Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Don's Party. 1976. Don has some friends over on election night 1969. A bit of an intellectual crowd. However, the more they drink, the more things get out of hand lol. This film is quite legendary in Austrailia. Think it was a play first. Hilarious. Take the time to enjoy. You'll be happy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke76XDXvpWM
B-Man Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Huge. My Favorite Brooks bit...........from the Simpsons Hank Scorpio: Uh, hi, Homer. What can I do for you? Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks. Hank Scorpio: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks! Homer, there's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third. Homer: Uh-huh. Hank Scorpio: There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Put-Your-Butt-There. Homer: Mm-Hmm. Hank Scorpio: That's on third. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the hammock complex on third. Homer: Oh, the hammock district! Hank Scorpio: That's right. Albert's father was hilarious too.................Harry Parke (comedian known as 'Parkyakarkus'). .
Mark80 Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Always liked The Tao of Steve and Grandma's Boy, Also thought Magnolia was very underrated and under appreciated in general. Edited June 17, 2014 by Mark80

Many might now him as Marty Funkhouser from curb -- or the older folks would know him as Super Dave
The Poojer Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Super Dave is Bob Einstein...i don't think he is Albert Brooks' brother....well i'll be damned...i had no idea he was.... Love that episode myself! Deranged Rhino Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Super Dave is Bob Einstein...i don't think he is Albert Brooks' brother....well i'll be damned...i had no idea he was.... Albert's real name is Al Einstein. He changed it for obvious reasons.
Mark Vader Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Always liked The Tao of Steve and Grandma's Boy, Also thought Magnolia was very underrated and under appreciated in general. I love "Magnolia", but I understand why so many people don't care for it.
bbb Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Albert's real name is Al Einstein. He changed it for obvious reasons. Super Dave has been on Norm MacDonald's podcast a few times. He's great...........And, their father was a successful comedian who died onstage at a roast right after killing it at the Friar's Club. He died young, but went out on top!
