Mark80 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 With 5 days of rest, I think the U.S is going to come out with a more sustained attack. Belgium is damn good, but I think we can take them as long as everyone concentrates for the full 90 minutes. Any given Tuesday!
ExiledInIllinois Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 On paper one of the best teams in the world IMHO but given what I've seen so far, I wouldn't be surprised if Greece beat USA in the final. That would be cool and convert me! Even w/a loss to Greece!
Pete Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Jermaine Jones is one of the most exciting players to watch in this world cup. He makes stuff happen all over the field
The Big Cat Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Aren't we on the same side of the bracket as Greece? We wouldn't see them in the finals, only semis, right? http://goo.gl/OO6NKI
Jauronimo Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 (edited) Um, you need to check your facts when you are correcting someone. If we lost 1-0 and Ghana won 2-1 we would have been out on the second tie breaker, goals for. Ghana 5, USA 4. We would have advanced if Ghana won 1-0 on the third tie breaker, total goals scored in games in which tied teams played each other. http://blog.syracuse...kout_stage.html and a reputable source: http://www.washingto...kers-explained/ Another fun little wrinkle, if Portugal had beaten Ghana by a score of 5-1, tie breakers dictate that whether USA or Portugal advances to second round would be determined by an individual contest, Dempsey vs. Ronaldo, who can finish fastest masturbating to a picture of Ronaldo. They also mentioned it on the broadcast, although those announcers were admittedly confused at one point. Scheiße - yeah I did some bad math in my head - I thought we tied Ghana on GF at 2-1 when actually we would've been -1.
KD in CA Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Belgium looks like crap and now playing with 10. Come on Algeria.

This is very funny to me.

No contest, Ronaldo loves himself some Ronaldo. We would have been screwed (figuratively) they would have been screwed (literally).
Mark80 Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) B's be crazy. I just don't understand why extreme rights try to push away middle of the roads and independents like myself. She gives a bad name to my Alma Mater. But hey, she's getting clicks so it's all good. When will the rest of your party come to realize that these extremist are killing your chances of getting any real power back and they are just money hungry profiteers who will say anything to cause controversy and get attention for better ratings? Probably a discussion for another time as I could go on and on about this. http://www.anncoulte...2014-06-25.html Edited June 27, 2014 by Mark80

meazza Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Know your enemies. She's not an enemy. She's irrelevant. Like the drunk spewing **** drunk and on crack on the street corner.
John Adams Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 Know your enemies. Ann Coulter is as much my enemy as the Peter Pan guy. She's annoying but only when you pay attention to her.
Mark80 Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 (edited) Yeah, but what you guys are failing to realize is the negative influence the likes of her and other's like her have on millions upon millions of Americans. That's why she is worth the title "enemy" in my mind. And I'm done discussing politics in this thread, sorry I know it's annoying. Edited June 27, 2014 by Mark80
eball Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 The Coulter editorial was comically horrible. There's nothing like reading something about sports written by a chick who clearly knows nothing about sports.
ExiledInIllinois Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Come on! All you guys would hit it! With a baseball bat until it was dead!
