26CornerBlitz Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 @JohnKryk At 9:30am ET I'm going @WGR550 with @hsimon62 and @JeremyWGR to discuss my piece on a potential 'hard to beat' #Bills bid group & NFalls
26CornerBlitz Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Jacobs sticks to script on future of Bills: http://www.bizjourna...ls.html?ana=twt
26CornerBlitz Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) @john_wawrow It's become quite obvious that we've reached the silly season regarding the #Bills future and sale. Far too much speculation out there. The lack of concrete news has created such a vacuum that the next thing anyone says on the #Bills sale front is regarded as gospel. 6/3 JOHN KRYK TALKS BILLS OWNERSHIP FUTUREON WGR <11:43> Edited June 3, 2014 by 26CornerBlitz

Rivermont Mike Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 The Niagara name has meaning north of the border and if it brings access to corporate support, you do the deal and then have to worry no longer about the financial footing of the team. I'd take that deal. When they changed the name from "Boston Patriots" to "New England Patriots*", the sun actually came up in the East the next morning. There were upset people, but they got over it and now it is a regional team. I'd take the deal, too. That buffalo logo on the helmet will be the enduring connection to Buffalo and the franchise's history. Check the merchandise--most of it either has the buffalo logo on it or "Bills." While they are in the region, whether the geographical name "makes sense" or not is irrelevant.
bbb Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I think you're right. It has Ontario appeal, and it would be exactly like the Pats. It's not like Boston likes them any less.
frogger Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 As long as its it WNY I'm good. Niagara Power...I'm okay with that name. Niagara Buffalos?
