He's coming from a 4-3 defense and in 11 seasons he made All Pro 5 times. Not knowing what is in store for Dareus this would be a great signing for an already great defense.

Nope for me.

What I would like is a flier on Jermichael Finley. If he believes he is healthy enough to play, and our doctors, and James Andrews and others clear him, why not?

He was one of the most disruptive tight ends in football before his injury. It's his choice to return or not. If he takes his $10,000,000 insurance policy which is the smart move, then god bless him, and enjoy the next phase of your life. If he and the medical professionals truly believe he is fine, post fusion surgery, then he could be fantastic in this offense. A big, playmaking TE, who is a difference maker. As long as we do a Revis deal meaning he gets a nice income on a two year deal higher than average for a TE, but no guaranteed money, our risk is mitigated well.

He's not in a position of strength to demand guaranteed money. The upside could be an explosive offense. I'd want him over Moeaki any day of the weak.

The thing is that the Bills probably already feel they've got their Jermichael Finley, in the form of Tony Moeaki.

Finley before that crushing hit was durable, vs. Moeaki who cannot stay healthy. I'd love to see Moeaki workout, but past performance predicts future performance and Finley was fantastic for years. I understand your comment though and hope he works out.

Depends on his point of view. He's made 12 million dollars so far in the league. Is he going to risk his future health for another million dollars?

can he play a 4-3 Def end ?

I don't expect anyone soon, but would love to hear they got a defensive lineman. Way more than any other position, this is our thinnest area and a must have area.

I'd be happy with another DT that excels at two-gapping like K. Williams (and, you gotta love getting another Williams.) or better yet, in my humble opinion) another RDE pass-rusher. Right now, we probably have no one that could replace Jerry Hughes as a real threat to beat a LOT one-on-one. Again, pass-rushing is the #1 skill we'd want any RDE free-agent to posess. Pass-rushing is such a rare skill in the NFL....

KW would certainly be a nice addition if healthy. We'd have some great depth with him in the fold. You might even see Schwartz experiment with Dareus at DE in the 4-3 because he's agile enough to play the position. I'd sign him for the right price.

Finley is another guy worht pursuing. You're obviously not going to pay hima big money, long term contract. He's likely to get a 1 yr $1.5M to $2M deal.

Don't sleep on Moeaki though. He's already turning heads in OTAs. He's very smooth when turning up field after the catch and has great hands. Very capable of making one-handed grabs. I would not be surprised to see him supplant Chandler as the starting TE by opening day.

A TE group of Moeaki/Finley/Chandler would be very nice.

Finley is intriguing because of his 6'-6" frame and long arms. He's the jump ball guy that the Bills don't have yet.

Agreed. I like where your head is at!

He can take Dareus' place on the roster after he's suspended for his latest FU in Hamburg!

Makes a ton of sense now if they get rid of that idiot Dareus.

Makes sense even if they don't get rid of him.

Dude is gonna be suspended. If goodell doesn't do it, marrone should.
