keepthefaith Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Low information voters? I agree. Funny how even though we're in the age of 24/7 instant information at your fingertips, these fools not once but twice, voted for someone so enormously unqualified, unprepared and unenthused to be president. This is what happens when the American media and the American government are in bed with one another. If the MSM doesn't report it, it's not a story. Richard Nixon was a jaywalker compared to this administration's parade of scandals and yet half of America either has no clue or they couldn't care less. So true and you know, Mitt Romney would have been a gigantic upgrade. I really miss that guy. Wish he was in the saddle now.

IDBillzFan Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 http://www.bbc.com/n...canada-28887282 I just heard a report on, I think, CNN that the DOJ looked into this and has determined the WH broke no laws, so the matter is dead.
B-Man Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I just heard a report on, I think, CNN that the DOJ looked into this and has determined the WH broke no laws, so the matter is dead. As is James Foley. .
IDBillzFan Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 As is James Foley. It strikes me odd that in order to look like they tried to save Foley, they release a story that says they were unable to save him because things went wrong and they don't know why. It seems to be this administration's calling card: explain after the fact that they really meant to do something but were too incompetent to do it properly.

FireChan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 And the story continues Military to charge Bergdahl with desertion Christ.
DC Tom Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 And the story continues Military to charge Bergdahl with desertion I believe in this case that's a capital crime, too.
FireChan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I believe in this case that's a capital crime, too. Because it's in war time?
IDBillzFan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm old enough to remember when were we told he served with honor and distinction.
FireChan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm old enough to remember when were we told he served with honor and distinction. Didn't we skip over notifying Congress?
IDBillzFan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Didn't we skip over notifying Congress? Who needs Congress when you have a phone and a pen. And this chair. And this paddle game.
IDBillzFan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 One of those days when Twitter is fun: RB @RBPundit 22m 22 minutes ago The left called Bowe Bergdahl a hero and Chris Kyle a racist murderer. Let that sink in, folks. Ed Whelan @EdWhelanEPPC 18m18 minutes ago White House: Yemen is a model of counter-terrorism, and Bowe Bergdahl is a hero. Not to be outdone...the NYT to the rescue... User Actions The New York TimesVerified account@nytimes Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is being charged with desertion, but there appears to be little desire to see him serve time http://nyti.ms/1xzknbA From the NYT Article: Another question is whether the Army will give Sergeant Bergdahl an honorable discharge if he is found guilty of desertion. For members of the military, an honorable discharge is no small matter, and not getting one can not only hinder a veteran’s job prospects, but also weigh on the entirety of how a service member looks back on his or her career.

Doc Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Not getting jail time is pathetic enough, but an honorable discharge if he's found guilty of desertion that led to the death of a fellow soldier? I weep for this country.
B-Man Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) I'm old enough to remember when were we told he served with honor and distinction. When Susan Rice was making the media rounds attempting to make the case for President Obama’s swap of five Gitmo detainees for Bergdahl, she made that claim of "honor and Distinction" .........it is coming back to haunt her Then again, that’s the same Susan Rice who helped push the story that a video was to blame for the Benghazi attack. . B-Man Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 In a comment that now seems akin to her "what difference does it make" dismissal of the Benghazi, Libya, terror slayings of U.S. officials, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that how U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl ended up in Taliban hands "doesn't matter." Clinton was interviewed last June after President Obama traded five Taliban prisoners for Bergdahl, who on Wednesday was charged with desertion. Obama was criticized by many after the trade, with some suspecting that Bergdahl sympathized with the Taliban. But in the interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, Clinton defended Obama in comments that she may have to answer for on the campaign trail. "If you look at what the factors were going into the decision, of course there are competing interests and values. And one of our values is we bring everybody home off the battlefield the best we can. It doesn't matter how they ended up in a prisoner of war situation," said Clinton. "It doesn't matter?" Sawyer asked. "It doesn't matter," Clinton said. it certainly makes a hell of a big difference to the family of each of the six soldiers who died hunting for deserter/ traitor Bergdahl after he went missing: Staff Sergeant Clayton Bowen, 29, of San Antonio, Texas Private 1st Class Morris Walker,23, of Chapel Hill, N.C. Staff Sergeant Kurt Curtiss, 27, of Murray, Utah 2nd Lieutenant Darryn Andrews, 34, of Dallas, Texas Staff Sergeant Michael Murphrey, 25, of Snyder, Texas Private 1st Class Matthew Martinek, 20, of DeKalb, Ill. I think that I'll add this to the Hillary campaign thread also. .
IDBillzFan Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) it certainly makes a hell of a big difference to the family of each of the six soldiers who died hunting for deserter/ traitor Bergdahl after he went missing: I think everyone knows the gatorman-like Clintonites/Obamabots don't care about lives lost, be it in Benghazi after being left for dead by the WH and State Department, or trying to track down a military deserter hell-bent on killing Americans.
