This is one effed up mess after the other. Anyone still in love with this President has some major issues. Care to comment gator or is this just another instance of "they all lie".

Low information voters? I agree.

Funny how even though we're in the age of 24/7 instant information at your fingertips, these fools not once but twice, voted for someone so enormously unqualified, unprepared and unenthused to be president. This is what happens when the American media and the American government are in bed with one another. If the MSM doesn't report it, it's not a story. Richard Nixon was a jaywalker compared to this administration's parade of scandals and yet half of America either has no clue or they couldn't care less.

If it goes right, the President gets the credit. If it goes wrong, it's the JSOC commander's fault. Even though neither one exerts meaningful influence on the ground during the mission.

That's some quality leadership right there...

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/14/us/bowe-bergdahl-active-duty/index.html

(CNN) -- Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has finished undergoing medical care and counseling at an Army hospital in San Antonio and could return to an Army unit on a Texas post as early as Monday, a defense official tells CNN.

Bergdahl was held captive by militants for five years before he was released in May in exchange for five senior Taliban members held by the U.S. military. He has always maintained his active duty status. He cannot retire from the service or be discharged until the investigation concerning his disappearance and captivity in Afghanistan is complete.

For about three weeks, Bergdahl has been an outpatient at the San Antonio hospital, and military officials have interviewed him about his time in captivity.

Bergdahl is set to take a job at Fort Sam Houston, the Army post in San Antonio, according to an Army statement Monday. He will return to "regular duty within the command where he can contribute to the mission," the statement said.

The New York Times reported Monday that two soldiers will help Bergdahl readjust to Army life.

Bergdahl went missing on June 30, 2009, in Afghanistan's Paktika province, where he was deployed with the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division.

Some critics of the swap have said Bergdahl was a deserter who endangered colleagues searching for him.

An Army fact-finding investigation conducted in the months after his disappearance concluded he left his outpost deliberately and of his own free will, according to an official who was briefed on the report.

Seriously? Where's the !@#$ing court-martial? :wallbash:

My thoughts exactly.

When I was deployed to Kuwait we had a guy in my battery who abandoned his guardpost to go smoke a joint.

He got caught, was court-martialled, busted from E5 to E1 and eventually dishonorably discharged.

I suspect this is how Obama get's people to stop talking about how he's flying kids with lice and TB in commercial airplanes without ID.

I'm not even saying he should be convicted of anything. But how on earth do you not even have a hearing?

We don't need no hearings without pre-determined outcomes when a man's release in exchange for 5 terrorist leaders was political theater.

I don't care about Obama in this whole story and situation. I just want this kid tried by a jury of his peers and anything less is a mockery of justice.

I do think that will happen. They're still investigating (and perhaps building a case).

Right now he's got to be as fragile as a Swarovski crystal vase in an earthquake. They're being measured in their care of him, and likely will have him counting toothbrushes and lining up pencils in the PX while he "adjusts" to being an American in America again. They can't put him in prison right away, but I do hope he's nowhere near arms or Claire Danes.

That said, they should know pretty quickly if they have a case against him or not, and I expect that we'll know if charges are going to be levied against him within a week or two.

A lot doesn't smell right in this matter. I would not be at all surprised that he ends up a pariah or worse if the full facts of his story don't see the clear light of day.

You need to ask? I'd have been floored if they merely talked about having a hearing.
