MClem06 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Everyone has their own ideal situation for the owner but here is why you should want Donald Trump as the next owner... 1) He does not take failure as an option. 2) He does not take sh**from anyone 3) You want Rivalries back in Buffalo? This guy is liable to talk sh** about every divisional opponent and their owner. Oh and outside of the division, ESPECIALLY Jerry Jones because he hates other people with almost as much money as he has. 4) He will NEVER be called cheap. In fact I think he likes to overspend to get what he wants. 5) He has enough common sense to be hands off. He's not a football guy and he knows it. He will hire the right faculty and if they don't perform it's chopping block. 6) I think the NFL needs character and Trump is a character I'd enjoy watching in press conferences on his team. He's going to tell it how it is and not sugar coat it. We need more of that. 7) He has stated his intentions of keeping the team in Buffalo, he sees the importance of the fan base and how detrimental it is to the city. 8) I think everyone who sees Galisano as a better option should look at what he did when he owned the Sabres. Yes, he kept him here and we're all thankful for that but he had no win now mentality and it showed. TRUMP for Owner in 2014... Now for all the haters on why my opinion sucks...
seq004 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) I would be ok with the Trumpster. Does his hair get a position with the team? Edited May 27, 2014 by seq004
dwight in philly Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 i find no fault with your opinion, my only concern was his conciliatory tone today.. could it mean that he is aware that there is a deal pretty much in the works?

Your 5th point goes on about how hands off Trump will be yet you immediately follow it up with point 6 which clamors for Trump to be in front of a microphone speaking on behalf of the Bills. Think about that. Donald Trump speaking on behalf of the Buffalo Bills. F that. This team has been a national joke for going on 30 years -- adding the court's jester as the owner would only reinforce that narrative. Trump brings nothing but a circus and, contrary to your willingness to take him at his word, Trump has shown no interest in altruism. Ever. He says he'll keep the team here but his history shows he'll go wherever the money is. So to recap, you'd like to install a loud mouth, hugely divisive cartoon character with no scruples to oversee the franchise you root for. With fans like you, who needs enemies?
Best Player Available Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 To complete the trump circus would be him naming Gary Busey as the new GM............... He would be the most hands on owner since Eddie D with none of the success.
CJallDAY Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 not so sure about 5 and golisano got the sabres to the conf finals sooo

I was okay with Trump. Then read this topic. I feel even better about Trump compared to most options. +1 for Trump!

PromoTheRobot Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 The OP's opinion of Trump is based on a cultivated image invented by Trump. In reality he is nothing like what you describe.
frogger Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Am I the only one who wants all parties interested in keeping the Bills in Buffalo to create a team to purchase the Bills. Bob Jovi has backers, why not Trump or...
Jackel_One Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I like all those reasons, However Donald Trump vs. Jerry Jones in the battle of the egos would be worth the price of admission alone.
3rdand12 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Not if we still have options. But good OP just the same. respect . and disagree
Johnny Hammersticks Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 There is something to be said for class. The comb-over has none of that. Pure egomaniac. No thanks.
Max997 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 My problem with Trump is he would mostly likely be a lot like Jerry Jones trying to run the team and being bigger then the team 24/7
Dirtbag Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 only if that rat on his head is the team's new mascot.
NoSaint Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I think there are plenty of bad shows to watch fake reality tv characters on.... I wouldn't consider him being one to be a big pro
Captain Hindsight Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I would rather not Trump. He's an idiot more often than not and has had many failed businesses. If its him or an LA guy, I will take Trump. But he wouldn't be my first choice
