There should be a set minimum catches requirement to "qualify" for YPC.

I'm guessing it's because of TJ's daunting 15.7 YPC while only having 23 receptions.

My favorite stat is FJ and CJ had more receptions than our 3rd WR.

Also YPC and YAC should probably be separate. JMO.

Yes. It eliminates bad players and their small catch samples from skewing YPC an YAC. The minimum set should be between 35-40 catches to qualify for YPC and YAC. I agree that YPC and YAC should be a distinct category.

and our pretty average TE had more catches then our #1 WR.

Can only have 3 questions in a poll, so I combined them.

Gragg? Really? Might as well right in Legursky

Well maybe. But i dont think they" any of the three " tossed to him. Or even considered it,

But hell he cant block so why not ?

I voted Watkins for yards and YAC with Woods in receptions. The more thought that I have put into it I will be surprised if Watkins isn't the answer to all of them. They are going to try to feed him the ball early and often. This wasn't a guy that they sold out for to bring along slowly; they believe that he is the missing piece. His game is NFL ready. I think that Woods will be used as a possession guy like Stevie was why I originally voted him for receptions. Watkins will be about 70 catches, 1100 yards and 8 TDs as a rookie if he stays healthy

I voted the same way.

And I am in complete agreement with you. The Bills did not go through all of what they did on draft day to have Watkins sit and learn.

They will use him as much and as often as they can.

It will be Watkins for sure. He's going to certainly have the most opportunities.

I disagree. because .

The kid is fabulous right ? But so many threats on Offense . spread it around keep the defenses confused.

Tough call really. Thats why i said this post is good to get us thinking.

Sammy could be the man thats for sure . Thats is why they reached up and plucked him . Thank gosh.

But if you watched Woods last year this kid is just going to get better and better.

Let them double or over under S Watkins because all the other MOFOs will be open

I don't care who gets the most catches, yards, or TDs. The best receiver on this team is and will be Sammy Watkins.

GO BILLS!!!

It's a tougher question than you think, especially because. I think one important stat has been left off that voting board, and it's really the biggest one outside of wins: Touchdowns. Who do you hit in the Red Zone?

I think Sammy will probably eventually have the best production. And I do think that he will have the most catches this year. But I'm thinking that, due to his playing style, a lot of those are going to be short passes that try to get good YAC, and he's an easy dump of target, which is going to bring down his yards.

Woods managed to be EJ's security blanket and had a knack for being open and having great chemistry with our new QB. Without Stevie, he's probably the best route runner we have, so I see him taking the "Yards" category.

Goodwin has an invaluable ability to take the top of defenses, and is probably the best way to force teams out of putting a single lone safety and challenging the Bills to beat them deep. If defenses play him with a cushion, he happily takes 6-8 yards a play, which keeps the sticks moving, and if they pair up without the cushion in man to man he can blow away very good CB's with his speed

And then we have Mike Williams. A hair taller, bigger and slower than Sammy Watkins, with an incredible jump ball ability, I can easily see him as being the red zone target to beat. He's also good enough that he's going to beat the #2 CB most of the time, so double teaming Sammy is going to have a steep price to pay. I see him as the touchdown leader.

So who wins? Hopefully, the Bills :flirt:

If it's not Watkins in all categories then why trade up and drop Stevie? It has to be Watkins otherwise we didn't get our money's worth

Last year it was Chandler with the most catches.

He will repeat this year unless we get better protection and EJ has improved his accuracy from last season. Guys like Sammy and Woods need their qb to have at least 3 seconds on his feet and a passing lane opened for the qb in order to get anything but quick dink and dunk passes.

I know Sammy is the YAC master, but last year we were pretty easy to defend with 8 men up, jamming WR's at the line and daring us to give EJ enough time to accurately throw a completion downfield.

Remember our line will likely have three out of five new guys on it this year. There will be some growing pains. Our HC was an NFL offensive lineman and also coached that position in the big leagues. He needs to get a good line put together in the next 100 days and Hackett needs to build on last year's learning experiences and get a more unpredicable offense.

KJ, that is almost my exact low side expectation of which I'd still be ok with given his potential. I believe his high side and my hope is about 84 grabs, 1200 yards and 10-11 td's.
