I don't foresee a big change from last year in terms of scheme. Schwarts actually spent time in the off season to keep the current terminology the same. He is certainly going to throw in his own wrinkles, but he does not have to reinvent the wheel. The D had a lot of success last year so the changes he makes will involve stopping the run more than anything. He will like to keep many things the same.

I'll believe it when I see it. I know the company line is "we will adapt to our players", but Coaches stick with what they know. It's going to look a lot like his defenses in Detroit and Tennessee and little like Pettine's scheme

I can hear you Fluff but you say this as a fact. and its not. nothing is at this point as to waht the Bills D will show and do and then how they adjust for teams and play calling . More then one Bills coach in Jims ear Pajac for one is huge

i expect surprise from Jim. He is a competitive man to say the least , and will strongly want to succeed . NFL Offenses will be planning for his MO as you are. That would be silly not to wrinkle the f out of it using Pettine concepts with the blitzing Robey !! et all .

Well at this point we just dont know. But Schwartz is no slouch.

We really wont know till game one or two even , before he shows his hand. you are correct about his tendencies for sure. Lets hope he can be smarter than that.

i would think he might try to run some basic beat your man type of ball early in . Recognize some weaknesses and then advantages when the bullets fly for real and adjust.

I worry honestly.

But Bills WILL turn that run defense around and thats maybe why he is here

I do hope he changes a few things, because this Defense has not stopped the run in about four year . . .
