mountainwampus Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 John Fogerty. He's a sports fan and has expressed desire to retire in Buffalo: "If I had my way, I'd shuffle off to Buffalo Sit by the lake and watch the world go by Ladies in the sun, listenin' to the radio Like flowers on the sand, the rainbow in my mind."
hondo in seattle Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Billy Sheehan of Talas for his Buffalo roots. Or Jimmy Page for the off chance he'd reunite Zeppelin for a halftime show.
TC in St. Louis Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Gotta be the Boss. Springsteen would be a perfect fit for the blue collar Bills. Yeah. The Boss.
VADC Bills Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) Wilmer Alexander What about the Dukes! My opinion of Bon Jovi is of course a little biased due to the toronto angle, but even without that don't think I'd want him part of bills ownership group. Think he's kind of a twerp and a has-been, overall just kinda lame. So I was thinking which rock star would I want part of Bills? And I came up with: TED NUGENT Which is odd because I don't like his politics, but I admit he's entertaining. I think his crazy attitude would add some energy to the franchise. He'd get in the faces of owner-bullies like kraft and Jones, be a nice change since we're always dumped on by them. And he's a hyper American patriot who'd never see the team moving to Canada If you want to know the rest of the story, look up Donald Sterling. Surprised we haven't seen any Rick James or Goo Goo Doll love on the board. Edited May 24, 2014 by VADC Bills
truth on hold Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 @VADC, here you go, Buffalo Music Hall of Fame if you're looking for buffalo-derived rock owner http://www.buffalomusic.org/atoz.html
hondo in seattle Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 If Rod Stewart bought the Bills, I'd worry he'd relocate the franchise to a warmer place: "Oh the snow fell without a break Buffalo died in the frozen fields you know Through the coldest winter in almost fourteen years..."
Buftex Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Rick James B word! If he is unavailable, I will take the glimmer twins!
ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Insane Clown Posse would be apt - - they wouldn't need to clean house after buying the team. Or as I posted in another thread, how about The Offspring - - they could play all 11 of Travis Henry's kids on special teams in a few years.

truth on hold Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) No credibility. How can you put 10-15 people in every year? I wasn't expecting the universe but I was surprised at just how meager list was. I had heard of a total 4 groups, and 4 individuals. I think there's a lot of resume padding for guys giving lessons out of their mom's basement: Let "Buffalo Music Hall of Fame" legend Jim Smith teach you guitar! Edited May 25, 2014 by Joe_the_6_pack
The Avenger Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Perhaps the best rock star I would like might be Jay Z. He seems to do very well managing business and letting his management do the business allowing himself to be the face of his empire but not the brain trust. Not sure you could build a new stadium without elevators though.....
gomper Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Bob Weir This. Bobby would be an awesome owner. At least the music in the gameday presentation would be solid.

That would be OK...assuming Elvis is busy.
