bartshan-83 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I was gonna say that too. He really does deserve it. He was a stud a Bama and he has done very well so far. Do you say keep 4 backs?

ndmanley Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I was gonna say that too. He really does deserve it. He was a stud a Bama and he has done very well so far. Do you say keep 4 backs? 16586 I think Simonton is gone.
Bear Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 They can't afford to keep 4 backs AND 4 QB's AND possibly 4 TE's. Simonton has looks okay, but he hasn't shown anything special. Shaud has earned the 3 spot.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 They definitely won't keep 4 RB's, unless you're including FB in there. I still think they keep just 1 FB (although I don't know if it will be Shelton or Lawton since I don't think Shelton has really distinguished himself) and use Neufeld as a backup FB if need be.
Dr. K Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 They've got to keep him. They guy is quick AND fast, like a water bug. I love the way he runs.
Cash2Burn Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 He makes this team! EASY 16584 I'd go so far to say he's been the second best RB in camp this preseason, ahead of WM who seems to be hitting the hole slower and slower with each passing game. Nice free agent pickup.
Live&DieBillsFootball Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I love Williams' speed in hitting the hole. He also had some good returns that got called back. I would also rather see him return punts than Clements. We couldn't afford to get Nate hurt on special teams.
NEEDFREDJACKSONNOW Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I think Williams has great speed for sweeps, as well as good sense to cutback and make a tackler miss. You can't teach things like that. Williams provides another change-up in the running game. Too bad for Simonton, but Williams is just a shade quicker.... Keep Williams for punts and kick-offs, too. I think they'll keep 3 RBs and Lawton, let Zolman go, so they can keep 4 tight ends.
jarthur31 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Why would we keep 4 TE? None of them are injured.
Fake-Fat Sunny Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Why would we keep 4 TE? None of them are injured. 16781 Campbell is a keeper and Neufeld won himself a TE job, also has H-back potential and may even been the long snapper. Euhus is a moderately high draft pick who has generally caught what is throw at him so he will almost certainly stay. However, in addition to these 3 likelies, MM has waxed poetic about Trafford belonging in the NFL and he did nothing to hurt himself with a couple of catches and a nice run tonight. These are the 4 potential TEs. Myself, I also think Trafford is good but I'd risk cutting him and resigning him, to the expanded PS. My guess is this is the plan and MM was simply sucjing up to him with his words so he won't leave for greemer pastures when we cut him. Since most teams do not use the TE much in their Os, I doubt there will be great call for him to be a roster player somewhere else. Pf so, i'd just wish him good luck with his NFL career elsewhere.
Yankeedawg Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I posted last week praising this fine young man. Here is a guy who held together an Alabama team in near chaos with his great leadership skills. I like saying he has a Steve Tasker heart.
Mark Vader Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I am sold on this kid, I say keep him. He also looked good on the punt returns. On another topic, is it just me or does Rod Trafford look too small to be a TE? He has the build of a WR or H-Back more than a TE. Is he worth keeping at this position?
ch19079 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 average players often look great agenst bad players. but when put in a game agenst good players, it is easy to see why there only average.
