Dorkington Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 do redzone specialists ever work out? The only one I can think of is mike vrabel. Also if they are good in the red zone wouldnt they still be good anywhere else on the field? Indeed... Red Zone specialist skills should translate to chain moving skills, imo.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm going to wager that zero of them make the final roster. I suspect they are fighting for one or two spots. I think these 4 make it for sure: Williams, Watkins, Woods and Goodwin. Then you have the rest.... Easley has the whole special teams rockstar thing going for him. I wish Barden could play. He's a monster. Graham is in for the fight if his career. Lots of tall guys with decent speed. They are definitely trying to find a player with those physical parameters out in the weeds. Indeed... Red Zone specialist skills should translate to chain moving skills, imo. Like plexiglas Burris
1B4IDie Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Alaska... That clearly translates the ability to acclimate oneself on a cold day in Orchard Park... If somehow he makes an NFL team, that is all we hear about. Holley, a native of Anchorage Alaska, . . .
PS 56 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Coming from Anchorage, Alaska he is not going to complain about the weather.
NoSaint Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Coming from Anchorage, Alaska he is not going to complain about the weather. its the first time we will ever have a signing complain that its too hot.
YoloinOhio Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 I think the Bills are being generous on his height. NFL draft scout listed him at 6016 at his pro day. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=130646&draftyear=2014&genpos=WR
The Big Cat Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 More interested if Ramsese Barden can do anything as a redzone specialist . If yes: him, Chandler, Williams and Watkins would be damn tough to cover.
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I just like the thinking of the staff, trying to go after bigger wideouts ...
todd Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Not sure why people are mocking a UDFA signing after a tryout. Some perspective is warranted.
thebandit27 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Not sure why people are mocking a UDFA signing after a tryout. Some perspective is warranted. I haven't seen a single person mocking the signing...I've seen a few (including myself) predict that none of the bigger guys make the team.
CountryCletus Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Wait... The consensus is that this guy won't make the team??? I will take the under...
Rubes Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Nothing against Caleb, but I just think it would be cool to have a guy named Ramses on the team.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ran a 4.62 40... Hardly seems like NFL speed You never know what's behind the bushes. If I had kind of speed, I'd be a gazelle compared to my current clocking.
John from Riverside Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Leave no stone unturned.....even if you dont keep what you find under it......
Lurker Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Coming from Anchorage, Alaska he is not going to complain about the weather. Yep, he'll love the summer at SJF, for sure... http://newsok.com/oklahoma-state-college-football-notebook-east-centrals-caleb-holley-spencer-bond-forming-on-and-off-the-field-bond/article/3900025 "In an odd twist, the cooler weather might be helping Holley's performance.... The Oklahoma heat in August and September caught Holley off guard. “Oh, I was cryin' — I almost passed out,” Holley said with a laugh. “I kept saying, ‘How do you keep practicing and playing in this weather?' It was just so hot when I first got here ... but then again, I'm not fond of the weather back home. It's already freezing up there.” Another interview. Seems like a nice kid... http://www.chatsports.com/notre-dame-fighting-irish/a/Draft-Diamonds-Prospect-Interview-Caleb-Holley-WR-East-Central-1-9775827
Mark Vader Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Do you fellas think any of them will make the team?? I think Barden has the best chance, with Elliot having a slight chance. The others are long shots. More likely Practice Squad bound.
ChevyVanMiller Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm going to wager that zero of them make the final roster. Not with Marcus Easley locking down his yearly spot.
Beerball Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 More interested if Ramsese Barden can do anything as a redzone specialist . He's a vegan, I hold out little hope for him.
Spillnation Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ramses Barden will make this team... he's no slouch. I'm wondering if they're thinking tight end with this kid, especially since they got rid of Kaufman.
