Deranged Rhino Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Got $85,000 burning a hole in your pocket and are you an enthusiast of outdoor activities? If so, this might be for you: "User-friendliness has figured heavily in the design, with handlebar controls for intuitive steering and safety features that keep the driver from flying too high or too fast -- both of which would drain its fuel more quickly anyway. This also helps it comply with the US Federal Aviation Administration's guidelines, which require a pilot's license for anyone operating a vehicle above an altitude of 3.7 metres (12.1 feet). And yes, it does fly over water as well." http://www.cnet.com/news/aerofex-hoverbike-headed-for-market-in-2017/
BringBackFergy Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 HBWI (Hover Biking While Intoxicated)...are these meant to ride on roads in traffic or just off roading??
Deranged Rhino Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 HBWI (Hover Biking While Intoxicated)...are these meant to ride on roads in traffic or just off roading?? I think they're meant for anywhere, but I doubt they will be street legal. Of course, I'm still waiting for my hoverboard so I'm not going to hold my breath on these things. But they sure would be fun.
PastaJoe Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 It's needs to be able to fly above the traffic to be worth it.
