BillnutinHouston Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Seen several references on TSW to this, but there's no confirmation of this on the Browns website. Are we just wishful thinking at this point?
Mark VI Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Cleveland hasn't indicated otherwise. They seem to be patiently waiting, instead of rushing to hire someone else. ( See Greggggggggg Williams ) The downside is that Crennel may have slim pickings when trying to assemble a quality staff. Many top Asst.'s who were looking for work have found new homes. Job security is king and most jump at the first opportunity offered. Thus the urgency/temptation to make a quick Head Coach hire.

Greg de'Ville Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 ...book it. Crennel's going to Cleveland as soon as the big game is over. Otherwise, Brownies would already have named a HC.

CosmicBills Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Neither side can confirm it until the Superbowl is over since doing so would violate NFL tampering rules. But it's going to happen.
BRH Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 The announcers last night even said "Everybody knows he's the next head coach of the Browns." I'm sure CBS got a call from the league office.
RJsackedagain Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 It's a done deal ....big Romeo is a "GIANT" Brownie now
