Targeting? No she's just putting it out there and your little groupie saw it.

The very idea that you Conservatives are all upset about this shows just how disgusting low you people are.

Upset? No I don't think we're upset.

The Narcissistic Creed :When preening replaces thinking, our ability to engage in responsible self-government is diminished.

by Kevin D Williamson

For a very long time, thousands of years, in fact, politics was a complex variation on the fable of the blind men and the elephant, each individual and each school of thought perceiving, at best, an aspect of the great and permanent problem before us. Groping at reality from behind the inescapable veil of ignorance, our reach exceeds our grasp. The rate of GDP growth, the man sleeping in the street, the number of months it takes to become licensed as an interior decorator, Levantine unrest — all of these things are part of the same animal, but it is impossible for any of us to comprehend the beast, our impressions limited to an ear or a tusk.

But say this for the blind sages of the fable: They were reaching out. In the 21st century, we have regressed to the Freudian phallic stage of development, reaching in, back in short pants with our hands all the way down them, which gives one a rather limited impression of the elephant in the room.

Slavery in Nigeria, the occupation of Ukraine, whatever: It ain’t about you, Sunshine.

{snip}

Imagine, if you can, the abjectly juvenile state of mind necessary to contemplate the hundreds of Nigerian girls taken into slavery by a fanatical Muslim anti-education militia — whose characteristic activity beyond slave-taking is setting fire to children — and, in the face of all that horror, concluding: “You know what this situation really calls for? A cutesy picture of . . . me!” Bad enough when your cousin Caitlin at Bryn Mawr does that — but senators? State Department officials? These are men and (disproportionately, I think) women of power and influence, who have the ability to engage with the world and change it. But they are enchanted by the unique witchcraft of the age of social media, the totemic power of the digital expression of the self.

{snip}

If your reading on public affairs has not progressed much past Internet memes, you have a responsibility to your country: Don’t vote. In fact, you probably should not even speak about those things. There is no shame in that; all of us are mostly ignorant about most things, as my poor father is reminded every time he tries to talk to me about sports. But please, if you actually care about the world and the human beings who inhabit it, stop — just stop — subordinating girls taken into slavery in Nigeria to the satisfaction of your ego. Go read a book. This is not about you.

Upset? Very few things in life that aren't directly related to me make me upset.

I was quite upset that my sides hurt after laughing so hard at her little frowny face.

Besides, THIS is how you tweet a picture, courtesy of the Campaigner-in-Chief:

It's no more than a way of jumping up and down, trying to get someone to pay attention to you ("Look at me! I care!") Annoying when regular people do it; downright embarrassing when the First Lady does it.

And when what's-her-name, Skeletor the Conservative Pundit does it...who really gives a ****? Somebody's still paying attention to her?

it's embarrassing when the first lady brings attention to a horrible situation?

Upset? No I don't think we're upset.

Mindless anger is the only thing that drives you idiots.

Well, someone has to. Her husband can't be interrupted on the golf course because he would then be late for his fund raisers.

Oh, now you are angry and foaming at the mouth she didn't act fast enough?? Wow!

No, you dipschit, she was touted as leading the way on this by many when she may have been dragged screaming and yelling into the whole deal. Then again she may have figured if Barack can lead from behind, maybe she could too.

So what does awareness accomplish? Only in the world of community activism does awareness accomplish anything. So now that millions of people know about this situation what are they going to do about it? Hold more signs? Embarrassingly pathetic.

Reset button anyone??

And so we see this lazy, ever-golfing, ever-campaigning man-without-a-plan has worn out his welcome with donors. No matter how much he holds up Keystone, no matter how much he pulls back on drones attacks, no matter how much he gets Reid to blame the Koch Brothers for the world's problems, in the end, the man has the leadership skills of a mop and, it would appear, no desire to even attempt to govern.

So what happens to a great campaigner when no one wants him around to campaign?

Hill Story: Obama drifting frustrates donors.

“We’re already seeing that happen now when Democrats do have control of the Senate,” one donor said. “I think a lot of people think, ‘What’s really the point?’ ”

Even if Democrats retain the Senate, there’s a sense in the donor class that Obama and Democrats will make little progress against Republicans.

“There’s a sense of resignation that Republicans are just going to run out the clock on the president no matter what,” the donor said.

One Democratic strategist who has worked closely on fundraising efforts has heard similar rumblings and says it’s a sign that donors are tired of giving.

“There’s definitely some donor fatigue in a lukewarm environment,” the strategist said. “They are tired of giving and giving and they know there’s not much more the president can do.”

Another donor, who has written large checks to the Obama campaign and top Democrats and has rallied others to do the same, said there’s a feeling of neglect by some top donors who feel the White House team keeps hitting them up for money, on the heels of two bruising presidential elections, but does little in return.

What was he going to accomplish this year, in the end, with November on the horizon? Nothing. So why all the fuss?

Donors are thinking 2016- they are holding their funds for Hillary. At this point BHO will get nothing passed in Congress, and the Republicans will run out the clock like the article said in hope of holding the Seante, House and Executive Office in 2016. Get read for nothing getting done until 2016, mayeb even longer.

In interviews with The Hill, the donors, who have been staunch Obama supporters since 2008, showed a frustration with the constant Beltway gridlock.

Oh come on man. We all know that's not his fault.

You make it sound like no president could get anything done in his shoes, when there are plenty of bipartisan articles documenting how little interest Obama has in reaching across the aisle or governing at all. He doesn't even reach out to his own side most of the time.

Lesser persons have done more with less. So I'm not buying into this "why all the fuss?" any more than I think Benghazi is no big deal because "all presidents lie."

The dude is no leader. He has no business being president.

I like to give the guy some slack, he has presided over a quite unique time in US history- a devestating recession, and partisanship like we have not seen at least in my lifetime. And the same slack was alloted to GWB- I think he !@#$ed up big by pushing into Iraq, but he faced a bitter opposition and campaign of nastiness and contempt I have not seen since I started following politics.

Wow B, you wildly overstated that........................................................(unless you started following politics in 2008)

Clinton, W., and Reagan ALL had stronger opposition and a hostile press.................................(Mr. Obama doesnt know what that even is)
