Patriots' Manziel Scouting Report?

All those character issues and so called worked habits are nothing but BS to cover why you don't like a guy. His own coach said he was the most competitive hardest working guy he has been around.

Now he is going to struggle this year not just because he is a rookie but because Cleveland is too stupid to get him some weapons. Jacksonville did it right with Bortles by getting him Marquis Lee and Allen Robinson

It's hilarious how much you will defend him yet you trash EJ any chance you get. And of course, his college coach will talk him. Much easier to get recruits when you can point to guys going in the 1st round.

The same part is you're the type of poster who will root for Manziel to be better than EJ so you can finally be right.

Odds he'll be right based on past history:

So the Patriots dug into Manziel and just made all this stuff up because they (the Patriots) didn't like him?

Sure, why not, it's Monday.

This was actually out there Saturday. But I agree - none of it is shocking or dissimilar to what we have heard for about a year on him. To be fair, there is positive info in there on him. Edited by YoloinOhio

When's the last time someone ever said "Jacksonville did it right?"

So the excuses have started! Ordered your Browns jersey yet?

Oh I knew this was a previously published report. But why the heck would the Patriots make that up? Answer. They wouldn't. It is exactly what we've heard for months, some people just refuse to believe it.

Would this BS "report" have held any water if Whaley drafted him ride the pine Like the browns did for a year or so?

A wild guess would be an increase in ST sales in Buffalo.

They drafted him to ride the pine behind... Brian Hoyer? I know Pettine said this, but this isn't like an Aaron Rogers - Brett Favre situation. Hoyer is a 2nd string QB at best. A UDFA on his 5th team who was 3rd string for most of his career. So you take a guy in the 1st rd and tell him to take a seat to a guy who has played 2.5 games in the NFL? Nice move. A QB controversy is probably not how I think Pettine wants to start off his career. Edited by YoloinOhio

Not to mention the first bad throw/series/play from Hoyer and Browns fans will be screaming to put John in the game.

They're just trying to keep Johnny Flame Out humble. Everyone knows he'll open the regular season as the starter or the Cleveland fans will burn down the Stadium.
