Kirby Jackson Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 We have to have more than 5 LBs on the team. 9 OL is a lot. One could probably be on the PS. I put Lawson& Hughes as DL but they are essentially tweeners (especially Lawson). 8 OL is certainly a possibility.
billybrew1 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Hey, looks like you have a very reasonable roster. Here's my meager changes.... Off - Pears, On - JJ Unga.... Save money, switch to guard, Bills seemed high on him. Off - Moeaki, On - Lee..... Love his blocking let's say Moeaki gets hurt and Gragg makes it. Off - Brooks, On - DE Wynn.... Rotate those linemen, gotta have size, depth esp. if Dareus gets susp. Off - moorman, On - Dombrowski.... Another year older.... Off - Hopkins, - On - Randall Johnson.... Special teams OLB. I wanted to get rid of Summers mostly because I get a feeling the coaching staff doesn't like him, I looked up special teams to see how he did there because Ai don't remember but couldn't find the stats.....but if he does not excel on specials I think he is gone. Whether Rodriguez takes his spot (I remember that he was supposed to be good at specials) or Dixon takes his FB snaps IDK. My take, make certain whomever it is tattoos his man hard and play him a little or a lot depending on the foe. I think Summers is pretty good at that.unless you compare him to Sam Gash. I wanted to get rid of Nigel because I get that same bad vibe from the coaches about him. But he fits this D way better than Pettine's with his athletisism and Schwartz makes decisions way easier for his backers. So he stays too. Wanted to go with just 8 OL but we are too young here. I think there's a good chance henderson stubs his toe and is IRed. And then we go with a diff. OT unless he is ready.... I loved the Brooks pick in during the draft and the first 2 years, maybe he can become an important special teamer. IDK why he wasn't playing there last year at the end of the year....but he ceratainly needs a big camp. Same for Graham as you have said. Lastly, I like that tall WR who just switched to TE and it would be neat if he did it ala Mr. George Wilson. I mean the guy caught everything last year. You can't say that about anybody else... Nice post.
ny33 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 QB: Manuel, Lewis, Tuel RB: FJax, Spiller, Brown, Dixon FB: Summers WR: Watkins, Williams, Woods, Goodwin, Graham, Easley TE: Chandler, Moeaki, Gragg OL: Glenn, Williams, Richardson, Wood, Urbik, Kuoandijo, Hairston, Henderson, Pears CB: Gilmore, McKelvin, Robey, Cockrell, Brooks, Graham S: A. Williams, D. Williams, Searcy, Meeks DE: Lawson, Hughes, Branch, Mario DT: K. Williams, Dareus, Charles, Bryant OLB: Rivers, Kiko, Bradham MLB: Spikes, Brown K: Carpenter, Hopkins P: Moorman LS:Sanborn I doubt that we keep Dixon and Summers, especially if we are keeping Hopkins as a "kickoff specialist."I think that you have too few linebackers on the roster. There's a decent chance that someone like Kevin Elliott beats out Graham or Easley for a roster spot.
dave mcbride Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I think they keep six linebackers, not five. There are always a lot of lbs on ST.
Iraq Vet Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Fred Jackson will be traded mid season to a playoff team that lost their starting RB. We will get a 4th rounder for him.
YoloinOhio Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I thought this was interesting - he is just a blogger but he writes some good stuff. I was surprised that he expects Searcy to be a cut. I do not, at all. Rob Quinn @RQUINN619 21h Projected #Bills 53 man Depth Chart pic.twitter.com/ghQWqAaf2r

26CornerBlitz Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Buffalo Bills 53-man roster projection, post 2014 NFL Draft The majority of the Buffalo Bills' offseason personnel moves are now in the books - so let's take a look at a 53-man roster projection to see, in one fell swoop, what has changed this spring.
Simon Says Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) I think keeping two kickers is a waste of a roster spot, but your list is great conversation starter. Not sure Henderson makes the 53,maybe PS, keep Legursky to back up C/G? We havent heard what exactly is wrong with Hairston;will he be healthy? Lee Smith could still make the team; Jarius Wynn or another DE? Rumors about trading Spiller?? There is supposedly decent cap $ available; a veteran QB? Proven TE? more moves coming, 9 spots left. Delusional Bills Optimist Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) QB: Manuel, Lewis, Dixon/Tuel (3) RB: Jackson, Spiller, Brown, Dixon, Summers (5) WR: Watkins, Williams, Woods, Goodwin, Easley, Elliot/Barden (6) TE: Chandler, Moeaki, Smith, Kaufman (4) OL: Glenn, Williams, Wood, Richardson, Kuoandijo, Hairston, Urbik, Unga/McClain, Asper (9) CB: Gilmore, McKelvin, Robey, Cockrell (4) S: A. Williams, Graham, D. Williams, Ladler (4) DE: Williams, Lawson, Hughes, Wynn (4) DT: Williams, Dareus, Branch, Charles/Bryant (4) LB: Rivers, Alonso, Spikes, Bradham, Powell, Brown, Johnson (7) K: Carpenter (1) P: Dombrowski (1) LS: Sanborn (1) Practice Squad: Henderson; Hopkins; Loser of the Dixon/Tuel competition, if eligible; Loser of the Unga/McClain competition, if eligible; Elliot, if he loses out to Ramses and is eligible; Gragg, if eligible; as many DBs and D-Line as we can sign. Pears is too expensive for the production. Graham gives us some flexibility at CB/S. No need for two kickers this year, and Hopkins may not even be fully healed. TJ is awfully fast, but too raw to keep around given our depth at the position. Edited May 12, 2014 by Delusional Bills Optimist
