tedstrong Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 We did not draft any safeties, and, given the way he performed last year, shouldn't we add him for depth- at least? Aaron is solid, but neither Duke or DaNorris outplayed Leonhard. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000248596/Geno-Smith-pass-intercepted
DrDawkinstein Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 He is a Rex Ryan/Pettine player. Much more likely to end up in Cleveland or NY than anywhere else. Outside of their specific scheme, he's just Coy Wire.
Captain Hindsight Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I wouldn't hate it but Graham is better safety prospect now that Leonard will be.
Mort Hendrickson Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I wouldn't hate it but Graham is better safety prospect now that Leonard will be. Jim Leonhard has made plays in this league, prior to the Bills signing Graham, I am not ashamed to say I had never even heard of him. Just saying. We should resign Leonhard, he is a smart player, and solid.
klos63 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Because he wasn't that good last year and now a year older.
tedstrong Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Because he wasn't that good last year and now a year older. Hmmmm...Starting only seven games. He registered 41 tackles and career-highs in passes defensed (six) and interceptions (four).
FireChan Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Hmmmm...Starting only seven games. He registered 41 tackles and career-highs in passes defensed (six) and interceptions (four). Not signing a solid safety who had career numbers here? Fine. Not signing a ball-hawking, money chasing safety sick of this team? Horrific FO!!!!!!!!!!
Wing Man Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 He's waiting for a real offer from a team out there which doesn't seem to be forthcoming. It would be great to have him back and perhaps at a discount as well.
Doug Flutie Band Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 he's worth a roster spot at a good price but that's about it
klos63 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Hmmmm...Starting only seven games. He registered 41 tackles and career-highs in passes defensed (six) and interceptions (four). He also missed many tackles, too slow to make tackles and was burned often. He's older and slower than he used to be. We need better.

Rockinon Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 The Bills are thinking outside the box on safety. They are stocking up on big DBs. If our other safeties cannot get the job done, one of them will. Take a look at this undrafted FA DB the Bills just picked up from UB. Derek Brim #15
machine gun kelly Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 He's getting old. I was happy we brought him back last year as we needed him. Now we have other options. I definitely think Graham will get a shot at free safety.
maryland-bills-fan Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) He is 31 years old. Sooner or later, the legs slow down and the offenses can beat him just with speed that he can not counteract with smarts. He has bounced around numerous teams as a savy backup, emergency starter, who can help out younger, inexperienced players. Notice that nobody has locked him up yet. Almost time to ride into the sunset. Edited May 11, 2014 by maryland-bills-fan
