freester Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I got to believe they are shopping him for a fifth next year otherwise he will get released for no compensation. We may only get a 7th
Buffaloed in Pa Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I got to believe they are shopping him for a fifth next year otherwise he will get released for no compensation. We may only get a 7th HuH?
NoSaint Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Odds are he sticks through camp as an extra leg an insurance policy
Bangarang Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Why would any team give up a 5th for Hopkins? And Whaley has already said that he'd like to keep Hopkins as a kick off specialist because of his ability to consistently kick it out of the end zone.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 No one would trade anything for him. I don't think we would even get a conditional 7th.
oman128 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 we tried the two kicker experiment 2 years ago/Chan Gailey an not so good results .
Dirtbag Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I got to believe they are shopping him for a fifth next year otherwise he will get released for no compensation. We may only get a 7th i love this post. i can say with 99% confidence you are literally the only person on this board -- a board devoted to the bills, mind you -- who is wondering about this.
PO'14 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 i love this post. i can say with 99% confidence you are literally the only person on this board -- a board devoted to the bills, mind you -- who is wondering about this. There were nearly 150 people on line at one time today. so You can say with 99.5% that he/she/it was the only person wondering about this.
4merper4mer Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 If they like him enough to draft him I would hope they would keep him. There is no denying Carpenter had a great year, but it was also the first great year of his career. If he regresses to the mean this year Hopkins will be the guy. Plus Carpenter has been growing out his mullet for longer than Hopkins has been alive. I know kickers can play old but why give up on a young guy? If Hopkins wants to go to another team he should wear a funny t-shirt to practice or mini-camp. Greggo Marrone won't know how to deal with it and he will be shipped of to San Fran.

KOKBILLS Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Odds are he sticks through camp as an extra leg an insurance policy The Bills were 23rd in touchback percentage last year...Hopkins would boost that stat up big-time...
Max997 Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 What's the rush? No readon to make a decision on him until they have to which won't be until August
