Simon Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I can't ever remember seeing this many lame games in a single postseason. What a letdown
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I can't ever remember seeing this many lame games in a single postseason. What a letdown 215933 Well, I think a year from now we'll all have something to cheer about...something tells me we'll be making an appearance in next year's playoffs (even if its just a cameo, I think we'd all be happy).
rastabillz Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I can't ever remember seeing this many lame games in a single postseason. What a letdown 215933 They looked great on paper though.
Simon Posted January 24, 2005 Author Posted January 24, 2005 They looked great on paper though. Yeah, that was the real killer. I was all geeked for almost all of them and it was just one stinker after another. You'd figure in the age of parity, some of that would extend into the postseason. Although this year there was a greater gulf between the have/have-nots than there's been in quite a while. Maybe it's no co-incidence. Cya
duey Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Todays two games were complete disappointments. I didn't expect much from Atl-Philly, but this one really blew.
Ozymandius Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I have hope for the Super Bowl considering Philly's secondary is about 10 times better than Pittsburgh's... that might just be a close game (or I'm an idiot, probably I'm an idiot)
Chilly Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 NUMB3RS WILL SAVE IT EVERYTHING IS NUMB3RS Brought to you by America's supposed most watched network. *giggle*

Rico Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Meh... the games sucked, but they were good for gambling. Marty , Manning against the Pats, and Cowher in the Championship game... pretty cool so far.

justnzane Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 the pasties are due for some heart break... especially on instant replay... lets hope the eagles spank the hell out of belichick et al.
T-Bone Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I don't know the Patriots looked pretty good int the Playoffs, I am happy.
bbb Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Both Jets games were actually pretty exciting - both overtime where it looked for sure like one team would win and then the other did. But all the games with the hype were horrible!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Any playoff games without the Bills sucks 216082 Right on...I consider all of these games bad until the Bills get back home into the playoffs where they belong.
Buftex Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Although I think there were at least 3 very good teams in this years playoffs (Pats, Steelers and Eagles) these have been the worse playoffs in at least 10 years. The last couple of years, in particular, have been great. The story of this years playoffs is choking, and failure....Marty, Manning/Dungy, the Jets/Jets kicker, and now Roethlisberger and Cowher....I fully expeceted New England to win the Super Bowl this year, I just thought the journey would be a little more exciting than this. Snooze......having the Rams, and Vikings coming to the party didn't help......
Buftex Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Jets had some pretty exciting games.I thought the Steelers/Jets game was a very entertaining game. 216160 Sadly, the only two really entertaining playoffs games, both involved the Jets. The Jets/Chargers game was a good one, as well as the Jets/Steelers.
silvermike Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Hey, I think there's something to be said for Seahawks-Rams. I mean, if it was ANY two other teams in the NFL, that'd've been a classic. But ignore the names on the jerseys and the faces on the sideline, and it was a great game.
