That's just because they love to talk about Manzeil! But I haven't heard any experts say the Bills are stupid. Just the opposite.

Going into the draft several outlets/pundits had Watkins as the best overall player in the draft. EVERYONE had him in their top 4 in overall talent. If NE traded 4#1's for him they would be geniuses.

Mike Rodak and Pete Prisco are not experts. I thought you meant guys like Bill Polian.

Cleveland took a the 3rd best Corner after swapping a pick with minnesota to move up one spot. No one was taking Gilbert at 8! That move was so unneccessary! And then they paniced and had to move up to take their Franchise QB? That isn't what I call brilliant?

At least they didn't give up next years 1st.

yea, i wasnt as impressed. as i said earlier, if they WANT johnny football, you take him first and the corner second. even if it worked out, the process seems upside down for me.

This is funny that you have a Browns thread on your site!! I feel so welcome! I am not a fan of the Manzeil pick at all and most everyone I know wanted a different QB. The Gilbert pick is OK but not sure that was a big need. We all wanted Watkins, and we passed on the elite player, again. Julio Jones 2.0. Don't talk to me about future draft picks. Being a Browns fan is always about getting picks for the future. How about taking the player NOW for once? I'm pissed. And Derek Carr is the better NFL prospect. My cousin is in the FO for the Chargers and I am not the only one who thinks that.

Petine his scheme depends on lots of strong versatile corners, that corner was certainly a need with the system Petine brings.

yea but in the risk assessment.... id guess his offense depends a lot on strong qb play. it seems weird to me that theyd reach on a corner and risk the franchise qb if they genuinely like him to be the franchise qb, as opposed to just 1 of a handful of guys that might work. (or satisfying an owner)

What do you all think of Cleveland's picks? It sounds like they wanted Manziel prior to the draft, and they were able to get him at the back end of the 1st round.

AWESOME!!!

if they draft Amaro I'm going to be bummed.

I'm not feeling all the love the Browns draft is getting from the media. After they traded down and took the third or fourth best CB in the draft, I thought it sucked. Especially given Watkins was who they traded. It remains to be seen, I like Johnny, but it will be tough for him to succeed in Cleveland. But, the Farmer for the HOF crap-get outta here!

Cuz the media only cares about making moves that result in more picks. Bills paid a lot to get the best playmaker in the draft and get a C- for day one. Cleveland passed on Watkins and Mack, took a corner and controversial pick at QB. Result A+ of course. Look how many picks they got from moving around! It's akin to saying you've won a chess match based on moving your first 4 pawns . . .

I agree. OK to trade down to 9 and take him there. But waiting until 22 tells me you are OK with the possibiity of not getting him.

Now, if the Jets had our spot and made our move?

Oh wait: they did! Mark Sanchez! What a "smart, gutsy" move that was!

It's so pathetic it's funny. These guys aren't even trying anymore. They have to downplay what we are doing, because it doesn't suit the marketing model that the big markets are always the "winners"....and "don't you want to click on that NYC? That's right, gimme that traffic! Check out this ad!".

Once again: telling a lot of people what they want to hear, is a good way to make $, especially when your business is based 100% on internet traffic.
