Chandler#81 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Just speaking with Berman on ESPN> Boomer, who again shared his love of the Bills asked him pointedly how the Bills can stay in WNY. Obviously, the ownership is also key, but 'the Ralph' -even with its nice improvements ISNT good enough for the League. So those who hang onto the hope that the Stadium should live on, fuggitaboutit.
FluffHead Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I interpreted it as a positive response from goodell. Then that hack Mike Rodak twisted it and tweeted it with a negative undertone. This guy is climbing the poop list quickly

This guy is climbing the poop list quickly Oh yeah, it WAS positive, IMO, but also politically correct. As a WNYer by birth, he knows the Gov, Senators and local politicians and believes we'll do what we have to -to keep them here.
bladiebla Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 It's all politics. Now the NFL has the chance to force a new stadium, or at least hope that one or more bidders will vouch for a new stadium.
RussellDopeland Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Goodell's main aim is to somehow have a new stadium squeezed onto Goodell Street downtown.
NoSaint Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Goodells job is to squeeze a new asset for the nfl out of this. A shiny stadium with nys tax dollars would be a big victory for the league
Roger Goodell Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 We would love to see the fans of Buffalo rewarded with a new facility in Buffalo.

Campy Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I thought it was interesting when Boomer said something along the lines of nobody wants to see the Bills leave Buffalo Goodell said "I know you're a Bills fan, too, Chris." It was the first time I've heard him actually mention or refer to being a Bills fan. It's not breaking news, but it's reassuring to me to hear him say that. I think any owner who plans on moving the team anytime soon will not have an ally in the Commish!
