26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 @WGR550 Doug Whaley: "He plays much bigger than his size. He'll be open when he's covered."
Beebes Bubble Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9RqmdAwFvo Gotta love the way he doesn't fall to the ground after contact. We have so many guys who drop to the turf when a defender simply looks at them.
Beerball Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Brandon and Whaley protecting their asses at the expense of the future. Nothing could be further from the truth IMO. This puts the bulls-eye squarely on each of them.
sullim4 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Really hate this trade. Giving up next year's #1 when Evans would have been available at 6 or 7 is foolish. We very likely traded two top-10 picks for #4.
oman128 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Remember when we traded back in the first and got JP Losman... This is way better...Billieve! !
NoSaint Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 And small... Size is great but I think at WR a lot of posters overrate it.... Dynamic players come in a variety if sizes and it's not like these guys are 5'6 145lbs
Mopreme Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 That's crazy talk. He would not have been there. Ok, who would have taken him? Cleveland, no. Raiders, no. Falcons, no. Tampa, maybe. Vikings, no.
Kirby Jackson Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) I am absolutely thrilled!! I have already popped a bottle of champagne. He is an ELITE playmaker and a difference maker. They did it all while keeping this draft in tact. They can continue to add pieces that can make this team a threat. Edited May 9, 2014 by Kirby Jackson
GG Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 If we believe the pre-draft analysis, Watkins is the only guy Bills should have traded up for. But it does likely signal the end of Stevie
RuntheDamnBall Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Great trade for Cleveland to get picks. Cleveland has a rich history of showing that they know what they are doing with multiple high draft picks. Be very afraid.
NoSaint Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Really hate this trade. Giving up next year's #1 when Evans would have been available at 6 or 7 is foolish. We very likely traded two top-10 picks for #4. If you think we are a top ten pick next year, what's the difference to you really?
Big C Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 There was talk about trading up for Evans or (barf) OT. We traded up for the one guy that was worth it (Clowney too expensive).
Screwball Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 We got a game changer. Leave it to the team to make that 1st a late one.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 And small... This is the one thing I won't quibble about. Eric Moulds was not a small player. Watkins is talented. Dear crap, I don't think he is worth what we traded, but he's talented and "plays bigger than 6'1" Then again, so does Mike Williams. Have we traded Stevie yet?
K D Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 WOAH!! I was so excited when I heard they had traded with Cleveland that I dropped a glass on the floor and I've been picking up pieces of glass for the past 15 min. FUMBLE!! Just like we thought, they are going all in with EJ and it's win now or go home for the FO. With new ownership coming in, it's now or never baby!
mannc Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Hyperbolize much? If the team needs a QB next year, then yes, this will set us back 5 years.
