seq004 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 A 1st and 4th a year out, pretty good move Yes good trade on the chart
dave mcbride Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 After the anouncement, Sammy looked about as happy as CJ did when he was drafted. Not a lot of smiles ....
Fingon Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The trade is equivalent to a 2nd and 5th this year. We can still get a tackle in the 2nd round with this trade.
Max997 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Love this trade and they still hv their second round pick this year which I was sure was gone Worry about not having a first round pick next year
Campy Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 ugh, I hope he's worth 2 1sts. History is against that happening. By moving up from 9 to 4 they gave up one first in 2015.
billstein22 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Sigh. I can take solace in the fact that they probably would've blown their first pick next year anyway.
xsoldier54 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Stevie is as good as gone. I love this pick. With Watkins, Williams and Woods, teams will really have to game plan and if they stop one, the others will get you. My guess is they trade Stevie for a sixth rounder this year.
Malazan Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 there's way too many negative Nancys on this board we just got a f****** stud player who cares what the f*** we gave up. We haven't been to the f****** playoffs in 15 years get over it I don't know much about him so I'd love to be educated, but man, that is a lot of value to give up.
NoSaint Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The rumblings here were right. I like it, though I worry about losing the #1 without a proven qb.... This is not just all in on Watkins but ej too
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 What is the price tag if we wanted to trade for a top 5 WR... Julio Jones, AJ Green, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald... Demarius Thomas? Fitzgerald is older so maybe it doesn't pertain to us here, but the rest of them, we're giving up 2 #1 picks. And the 4th rounder next year is a wash. I can swallow this. AS LONG AS HE REALIZES THE POTENTIAL HE HAS.
Malazan Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 By moving up from 9 to 4 they gave up one first in 2015. They used their 1st on him this year...1+1=2
nucci Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 *Sigh* I honestly don't like the pick. I really don't. I mean, I like Sammy Watkins, but really, we paid too much for it... Well, he has this season to prove me wrong. Just one season? At least you're patient
Nitro Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Steep price but now the Bills have 4 good WRs. Now the WR position is the deepest on the roster. Need to OL in the next round tomorrow.
TSNBDSC Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Great pick and trade. The futures bright ! EJ, Watkins, Kiko, local owner, new stadium !
26CornerBlitz Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The rumblings here were right. I like it, though I worry about losing the #1 without a proven qb.... This is not just all in on Watkins but ej too Without any doubt.
NoSaint Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 (edited) I don't know much about him so I'd love to be educated, but man, that is a lot of value to give up. Picture what aj green does for cincy. We have a very similar talent level now across the board. Edited May 9, 2014 by NoSaint
mannc Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 This will set back the franchise for 5 years or so. Other than that, I am all over this pick. Totally agree. At least we keep our picks this year.
