Spillnation Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Gotta dig this guy's determination and intangibles. Reminds me of the same work ethic EJ is showing. Imagine these two pushing each other. I read his story on bleacher today and it mentions New England is interested. They're callin him Tom 2, very creative! I would love to take him in the 3rd but doubt he would last. Do think he's on our board, should he be? Will he last to the 3rd round? OT/DE 1st, TE 2nd, QB 3rd? Edited May 7, 2014 by Beerball
MrLocke Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I've been watching Path to the Draft on NFLN and man oh man do they hype this guy!
Spillnation Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 This guy won't go before the 5th Take him in the 5th?
jaybee Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 If he were there in the 5th? Maybe. But fellas, without an O-line it doesn't matter who we put back there he'll be running for his life. I know its not a "sexy" pick for most but man I hope we take at least one O lineman. It would make EJ and the running game better without doing anything else. With a solid O-line and good play at the QB position (yes a Mack truck sized if) this team may just have a shot at a wild card this year.

YoloinOhio Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 33m Also, he left Schiano. Coach is still a fan RT @greggrosenthal: Schiano is an unabashed fan of Tom Savage. Adds weight to Pats-Savage talk.

I've read scouting reports concerned with Savage's maturity and ability to deal with competition.
Dirtbag Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 wtf does this thread name mean who cares? it's awesome.

Do think he's on our board, should he be? Will he last to the 3rd round? OT/DE 1st, TE 2nd, QB 3rd? Im not in the camp that we NEED to take a QB...I truly believe in EJ and I feel pretty good about his future...even opened a Fantex account to buy his stock. Having said that, I am also fully aware that he isn't there yet and nothing is certain about his future or his ability to stay healthy. So while I am against taking a QB in the first 3 rounds, I would be on board taking a potential guy in the 4th or later, and this guy seems to be an intriguing prospect and story. I don't know enough about him to get hyped about him or not, but he seems intriguing to say the least. So, if we can grab a guy like him with intriguing potential in round 4 or later than I can get behind that. First 3 rounds need to be WR/TE, OL, LB in my opinion. I would also look RB in 4th, but if there is a QB prospect they really like then I am fine with that too.
