LB3 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Great job Bandit! The only real shocker to me was Mosley's slide but everything was justified very well.
BigBuff423 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Just when I was about to strongly disagree with you about the BILLS trading up, I read a Bleacher Report update that just occurred on my iPhone at Noon that the BILLS and Lions are actively trying to trade into the top 5 at a "bargain price", citing the Jags as the most likely landing spot....I was convinced DW would be trading DOWN, but apparently all this "UP" talk is for real, as that report was from the NFL Network....if the BILLS do land at 5, Evans would be a nice consolation for giving up more Draft picks
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) Good Mock. I think it makes more sense than most I've seen. A couple things: It wouldn't take much for Watkins to be at 5 along with Evans under your scenario. Greg Robinson goes at #2 to Rams, and the Rams are in need of help on O-line. Ditto Khalil Mack. I also question Pittsburgh taking Ebron, he doesn't seem like a Steeler type because of his lack of blocking. Edited May 6, 2014 by 75Bills
Dorkington Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I'd love to have Evans. I just don't know if we are aggressive enough to trade up... guess we'll see. Great mock, though. Good read.
GunnerBill Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Great minds think alike? Haha. That's for others to say isn't it? but I think you have done a very thorough job. I also question Pittsburgh taking Ebron, he doesn't seem like a Steeler type because of his lack of blocking. That's the one pick I'd be most dubious about to be honest. You are far from the only person I've seen mock him to Pittsburgh and I do take your reasoning in respect of Heath Miller getting on in age and Big Ben does like throwing to a TE. However, I just think that football team has more urget needs on its defense and none more urgent than corner. Unless the top 3/4 corners are all gone by 15 I can't believe that the Steelers don't go there. NB. I also mocked Ebron to the Bills @12 after a move back so to be fair he wasn't on my board to give to Pittsburgh anyway.
Nikademus Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Best mock I've seen yet. Thank you for the obvious hard work Bandit. Only complaint: where is Rd 2?
YoloinOhio Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Thanks for the compliments all. Thanks...I'm also not a Barr guy, and I imagine the Rams will take advantage of the deep tackle class in round 2. Thanks. I could see that as well; just have a feeling about Ealy and SF. I'm guessing a 3rd They do...again I suspect they'll go there in round 2. Perhaps...but if I'm Cleveland I just sit there and wait...worst case scenario is Clowney, Mack, Manziel go in the first 3 picks, and then you can either trade down or pick one of the 3 remaining studs. Great minds think alike? Oddly enough, I have them taking him at 35. I have a funny feeling you'll be surprised come Thursday Haha...thanks. CodeMonkey Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 A very logical mock in my opinion. Which means it must be waaaaaaaaaaaay off!

John from Riverside Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I could live with giving up a 3rd...... Mike Evans is a good pick.....I really just wonder what the aftermath of that will be Mike Evans Stevie Johnson Robert Wood Williams Goodwin Thats a lot of WR's that are gonna want playing time

If you have numbers at the WR position, it allows them to run more of a vertical passing game more consistently given that they can substitute and still have fresh route-runners (and boundary blockers for that matter).
Kirby Jackson Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I love how in any conversation about our WR group, TJ Graham is never mentioned. Yeah and I don't know why we would look for someone like Mike Evans when we already resigned 7/11. He's always open.

BigBuff423 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 And don't forget Ramses Barden and Kevin Elliot....team seems to like Elliot....he's no Evans, I'm just throwing it out there since WR numbers / roster spots was discussed

C.Biscuit97 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Agree that I really like our depth, just feel we need a go-to #1WR. Let's combine all our receivers into one mega receiver. Stevie's route running, Goodwin's speed, Woods' hands, Kaufman's size, and Williams' decision making.
