At the NFL Draft on Thursday, all the best players will be sporting $5000 Armani suits, new haircuts, shoes and a variety of bling. That goes for their whole family, everyone gets a makeover.

Since most of these kids are poor, whose paying for this?

Do the clothing designers simply donate the clothes for a commercial and a mention that so and so is wearing Gucci, Dior or J.C. Penney.

I know that in 6-8 weeks they will all be signing big money contracts, but whose dime are they on now?

A friend of mine suggested this is what they use all that money they fine players for all season long.

Once the kids are no longer playing college ball and declare for the Draft, the rules for accepting stuff like that, getting advances, etc., are all non-applicable.

When I was in college in Boston I lived not too far from BC RB Willie Green. Remember him? At any rate a few days after the bowl game their was this custom painted hummer out in front of his place. He had not yet officially declared for the draft but the writing was on the wall.

I'd assume NFL pays for all the players' and their families' travel expenses including some kind of clothing stipend. It's the least they can do when you consider how much money NFL makes off the draft.
