CodeMonkey Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I can't take this seriously with Browns ahead of the Bills. No QB and no depth. Since he seems to value the QB situation greatly I see what you mean. Buffalo is in the "Maybe we have a QB" stage while Cleveland is in the "No !@#$ing way do we have a QB" stage. But if the Brownies manage to get a good QB (draft or otherwise) I have the feeling you may be surprised either this season or the one after. Particularly if Pettine ends up being a solid head coach.
C.Biscuit97 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Most of the good quarterbacks to come in recently were good right off the bat. Most of the meh ones were meh off the bat. I'll put EJ in the meh category. EJ had a higher QB rating than Luck as a rookie. Obviously, he's not Luck but some folks need to settle down. He isn't a finished project. And how many light up the league as rookies? Luck, RG3, Newton, and Wilson (who had a great D to help him). Here's a list of other guys who haven't: Rodgers, Brady, Eli, Peyton (lot of tds, lot of ints, 3-13), Romo, foles, Alex smith, Drew Brees, etc. Let's give the guy a full year before we decide anything.

Always the issue.
