Sanners Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Holy ****! People are real ignorant how big business works in WNY. This has nothing to do with tax dollars! It's already budgeted money that is being spent in Buffalo vs other areas of the state! This is good news in a state that has neglected WNY for too long. Man, I love this town, but I think the old mentality in this town needs to wake up, or just move.

If that money wasn't spent here it would be spent downstate. NY doesn't have unspent money, so not "wasting money on this" would just mean some pet project on Long Guy Land would get the dough.

BillsFan-4-Ever Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Way for the Gov in NY to keep wasting Taxpayers money. Can't that money instead go to say teachers, or somewhere its really needed? billionaires pay millions to billions to politicians election funds. if 3% of what they give went to schools etc it would help your state taxes get reduced. ex casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam donated nearly $93 million in 2012 alone to conservative super PACs. $2,790,000.00 https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php OR now that Ralph has passed The Donald can donate $100 Million for naming rights that could be used in lieu of tax $ Trump Stadium
TheLynchTrain Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Here's some background about the retained lawyer (article is about 3 years old): http://www.sportsbus...Irwin-Raij.aspx I find it interesting he's been on almost every side of a deal - whether its a league (MLB in Miami), a new buyer trying to stay in a market (Rangers), or even most importantly, an owner that wanted to move a team (Expos to Nats). I'm hoping that means he's seen it all and can spot the BS
Dopey Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Actually it varies, some teachers get more than they deserve, but others contribute far more to some individual students and/or society as a whole. While this statement may seem obvious to most, its actual important in that its obviousness means that your generalization is obviously incorrect as a basis for crafting a solution. What??? I'm having trouble deciphering what you are trying to say. Or as 'Lil Wayne once said "what da hell you say?" .
