CardinalScotts Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 guys gonna be 35 with a 24-23 record the last 3 years, hello Steve DeBerg
BuffaloFan68 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I wouldn't trade 1 3rd round pick for Romo. Put the crack pipe down.
Captain Hindsight Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Two first rounders for a 34 year old with a bad back? Not a chance
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Yes, first round picks in 2099 and 3015 I dunno... You know how much better the first rounders in 2099 will be? Average WRs will be Mario Williams sized...
machine gun kelly Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I feel bad for the guy as he's recvd more negative feedback than just about none in the NFL. His lack of success was not due to him. It was a bad team. I agree with everyone. He's too old and hurt to grab him.
thewildrabbit Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Would you trade two 1st round picks for Tony Romo? Only two ways, no way and no how! The guy isn't that bad and has lacked a solid O line almost his entire career, and yet always finds ways to lose important games.
snamsnoops Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I dunno... You know how much better the first rounders in 2099 will be? Average WRs will be Mario Williams sized... I hear that draft is even more loaded than this years.....No way i trade our 2099 pick!
maddenboy Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) hells to the f*** no. Is you crazy? (because sometimes crazy people dont know they crazy) I wouldnt give you a conditional 4th for Romo. Let him go golfing while my real QBs are working hard to perfect their craft. I want a QB who burns with the fires of hell to be the best QB in the history of the league. filthymcnasty08 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Can't we just enjoy the complete deterioration of a once invincible franchise at the hands of a complete and utter megalomaniac? The Romo contract is pure gold for anyone that hates the Cowboys and/or Jerruh...they really fuk'd themselves good and hard.
dezertbill Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) I was listening to Sirius yesterday and I can't remember who was on the show but they were saying that the Cowboys are infatuated with Manziel and think he is a younger version of Romo but with more fire and competitiveness. They really want the kid for a variety of reasons but unsure as to whether and how long he would sit behind Romo. They added that Romo's contract, even restructured, is precluding the Cowboys from adding players they need to get to the playoffs as they are in cap hell- bringing up questions about Romo being possible trade bait. If the Cowboys put Romo on the block for the Bills to trade this year's #1 (so they can take Manziel) and next year's #1, would you as a Bills fan take that? Trading two first rounders for a 34 year old QB coming off of a serious injury who hasn't won anything and has the propensity for giving up the big turnover in the big game??? Put down the crack bud! Now....walk....away... Edited May 1, 2014 by dezertbill
GunnerBill Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) I don't think Romo's play has been the biggest reason for the failures in Dallas in recent years. Underusing DeMarco Murray (particularly getting away from the run in the second halves of games) and a defense that's been a mess have been much more of a problem. But Romo's contract is hurting them because it's stopping them upgrading their talent and Romo's ego is hurting them... because I honestly believe he is a big part of the reason they get away from the run so often. He gets bored and moans at whoever is calling the plays in Dallas that week (Probably Jerry Jones for the most part) until they call some more pass plays. No way I'd trade for him though. No chance at all. Edited May 1, 2014 by GunnerBill
Bills Fan of St Augustine Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 no, oh no! He's middle of the road, over paid and past his prime.
transient Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I just wasted 1 minute of my life reading this post. A whole minute? It was 2 short paragraphs. Have you ever considered... https://secure.hookedonphonics.com/offers/learn-to-read-scrn-2stp.aspx?vc=ECG1&pc=SECGCI&gclid=CPOhn8fGir4CFcU-MgodbxEArQ
ALF Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Romo is 34 , just had back surgery 2013 season The Cowboys gave Romo a 6-year extension worth $108 million, with 55 million guaranteed and $25 million in bonuses, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Romo
Manther Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I wouldn't trade for Romo for 2 third rounders. AGREED!
