PromoTheRobot Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) I am boycotting the film since they replaced Buffalo with Cleveland. But aside from that snub, this film is getting so much push I get the feeling the studios know they have a dog on their hands. So they are hoping for a huge first week to recoup their investment. Just my uninformed opinion. PTR Edited April 10, 2014 by PromoTheRobot
Optometric Insight Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I'll see it when it comes out on demand, only because its a sports movie.

NDBUFFCUSEFAN Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Wow the movie snubbed Buffalo? How about NYS screwed up but hey who cares about the truth as long as we can all blame some unknown entity for a perceived slight. I'll be seeing it for sure.
K D Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Boycotting. Will watch it for free eventually but I'm still butt hurt about it

Just my uninformed opinion. PTR Me too. Plus I hear its awful CBF
simpleman Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 The blame is to be put on New York State, not the filmmakers Why? Because New York did not pay more in taxpayer "tribute" to rich movie companies than Ohio did? Yeah , good old free loading, er "free enterprise".
Campy Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 You can count the number of movies I've seen in a theater over the past five years on three fingers. This won't be the fourth; I'll wait a couple of months for it to show up on NetFlix.
CodeMonkey Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 If my wife wins free tickets today my son and I will go tonight. Otherwise I will watch it at home at some point. I don't watch movies in theaters very often.

PromoTheRobot Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Why? Because New York did not pay more in taxpayer "tribute" to rich movie companies than Ohio did? Yeah , good old free loading, er "free enterprise". It's not welfare if it's for rich people.
CodeMonkey Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I will wait 6 years for it to show up on Canadian Netflix CBF US Netflix isn't any faster. Why? Because New York did not pay more in taxpayer "tribute" to rich movie companies than Ohio did? Yeah , good old free loading, er "free enterprise". If that's true then good for NYS. It's time billionaires like movie company execs and sports team owners stop getting handouts

plenzmd1 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I am not going. I know they are pushing the relationship angle way harder than the actual "draft" angle. Think if you are looking for hard core football you will be disappointed. AND I agree PTR on the huge marketing push, i was travelling last couple of days between Charlotte, Boston and DC, and i heard Costner doing interviews on sports radio in each city, plus saw him on sportscenter..plus saw him on CBS this morning.
CodeMonkey Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Ya but you have at least 10,000 more titles to chose from CBF Yeah from 10 or 20 years ago
