papazoid Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 another lawsuit: Las Vegas man says in a $50 million lawsuit against the NFL that his hopes were dashed by the league and others he accuses of engaging in "economic discrimination" with an illegal ticket policy limiting credit-card sales to selected pro-Seattle markets. His lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas says it was part of an effort to keep 49er fans away and further promote the Seattle Seahawks' boisterous home-field advantage at CenturyLink Field. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10848148/san-francisco-49er-fan-sues-nfl-50m-seattle-seahawks-playoff-tickets
oman128 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Sounds like a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

Kellyto83TD Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Sounds like a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. Sure does. I wouldn't doubt this claim is valid and if pressed many teams do it.
Mark80 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I would love to know how he came up with $40M in actual damages. I would assume it's business related...would have earned $40M in revenues if he was able to wine and dine certain clients at the game. I don't know. Seems like an awfully big number there. Smaller actual damages and larger punitive damages would have been the way I would have attacked this. Edited April 28, 2014 by Mark80
